visited during chicago restaurant week, and the menu did not disappoint. for $60, you get a taste of everything they had on the menu as opposed to having to choose between the options. the stars of the menu were the temaki sushi and wild mushroom sizzling rice. the fish was so fresh and the rice was delicious and filling. the service here was also amazing. staff were attentive and our meal flowed smoothly from one course to the next

A truly exceptional dining experience at Miru in Chicago. From the moment we arrived, the service and atmosphere set the tone for a memorable evening. The space itself is elegant and refined, with beautiful views that complement the sophisticated ambiance.

What truly elevated the experience was the outstanding service provided by Anderson Cuellar. His attention to detail, professionalism, and intuitive understanding of hospitality made the evening seamless. Anderson anticipated needs before they were even expressed and guided the dining experience with genuine warmth and expertise.

The food was beautifully executed—thoughtful flavors, excellent presentation, and a clear respect for quality ingredients. Each course felt intentional and well-balanced, making the entire meal feel curated rather than simply served.

Miru represents what dining should be: exceptional cuisine, elevated atmosphere, and service that makes guests feel genuinely cared for. Special thanks again to Anderson Cuellar for delivering hospitality at its finest.

5/5 stars — highly recommended.

Miru Sushi is an absolutely stunning dining experience. The space is elegant and thoughtfully designed, with breathtaking views and a beautiful rooftop that really sets it apart. The sushi is exceptional—fresh, expertly prepared, and presented with so much care. Every dish felt high quality and well balanced. The service was polished and attentive, adding to the overall sense of luxury without feeling stuffy. A perfect spot for a special night out or anyone looking for great sushi in a truly beautiful setting.

First time and it won’t be the last. We enjoyed the restaurant week menu and loved the edamame, cod, steak, hand rolls and mushroom rice. The decor was gorgeous. Also, we had the best seat in the house, what great views! The sushi was so fresh it melted in our mouth. The rock shrimp was great, too!

The breakfast at Miru was amazing.
We are staying at St.Regis and we just walked up to the restaurant.
The view was amazing overlooking Chicago River and Lake Michigan.

We ordered Coffee, classic Egg Benedict with mushrooms and no ham and Build your own omelette.
All 3 things were amazing. Especially the omelette. Even egg Benedict was v good. It’s just the server took forever to get the bill.

My party of 2 dined at Miru for breakfast on a weekday morning. The restaurant is beautiful with lovely views! Service was an A+, no complaints at all! The food was absolutely delicious! We had The American, Midwestern Omelette (add sausage) and split the Pancakes. The pancakes had an amazing whipped ricotta and fresh blueberries and bacon was thick and so good! The portions were huge so we weren’t able to eat everything…but we sure tried! I highly recommend dining here if you’re ever in the area or a guest in the hotel.

This was the best experience of my entire weekend. This was my first time having Salmon Belly, absolutely amazing. The Kampachi, Otoro, and Uni were all pristine. The Old Fashioned was the best I’ve had all weekend. Finished the night with the Coconut Mango paired with Yuzu Sake…complete satisfaction. I left feeling satisfied physically and mentally. Matthew and Chalker delivered top tier customer service and were extremely intentional. Majority of what described above were their personal recommendations. This is a priority stop if you’re visiting the city. I look forward to dining in Miru again on my next visit.

We stopped by Miru for cocktails and small bites while staying at the St. Regis, and ended up loving it so much that we went back a second night with my boyfriend — always the sign of a great spot.

It’s a lively, buzzing place, so reservations are definitely recommended, but we didn’t wait long to snag seats at the bar. The energy alone makes it worth the visit.

The food was outstanding. Everything we tried was delicious, but the hamachi truly stole the show — fresh, beautifully balanced, and absolutely lovely.

The service was excellent both evenings, and we even ended up chatting with some great people at the bar each night. Miru is the perfect place for a fun night out: fantastic food, a great sake selection, and an atmosphere that makes you want to linger a little longer. ✨

This was our second time at Miru and are continuously blown away. We got lucky to have Jonathan as our server both times! He was so knowledgeable about everything on the menu including the intricate details of the extensive Japanese whiskey. He made the whole experience! The triple tuna maki is a hit and so are the pork belly skewers. Honestly you can’t go wrong with anything. We will be back!

Dined at Miru in The St. Regis Hotel, Chicago with my sister and was blown away—not just by the food, but by the view. The dishes were thoughtfully prepared and beautifully plated, and the skyline from our window table was stunning. Attentive service with warm recommendations. A memorable evening that felt elegant yet comfortable.
