Recently been to this place for a lunch buffet with my team. The food was good, the ambience is nice and the service was decent. The pricing is on the slightly expensive side, it ends being 15$ per person.
It’s a South Indian themed restaurant, with quiet a few Telugu/Tamil dishes. They have a live Dosa counter with a choice of 6-7 varieties and a bunch of chutneys. The number of choices for appetizers and main course ain’t much, may be just enough. The buffet was pretty vegetarian friendly too. Desserts were good, they generally have a couple of Indian desserts with a western one.
Overall it’s worth trying, the buffet is decent. Better to arrive a bit early to beat the crowd and may be slightly crowded in the weekends.

On June 11th 2017, we went here for a friends birthday lunch. I have been to this place many time. the first time ( I think in 2014) when i went the food was very good, that is they time when they newly opened here in parsippany and most of the items in the menu were good. there was no item that you can say bad.
Then every time i go their taste of food was degrading.. this time parata was like rubber, chicken curry was sucking, birayani and chicken fry were good though. non of the fish items were good, actually which was their signature food that i thought.
to the veg samber and pongal were good. Mashrrom fry was bad.
since they have many items for the menu , we can go there to try to find at least few will be good. but its not worth the money.

We went there to have a lunch and wanted to have good Indian food. They had an unlimited buffet which in taste was not up to the mark. Corn soup was almost like water with no taste at all. In terms of service, most of the menu was over or not refilled quickly. In terms of cost, it was on higher side with respect to quality, taste and service. May be I just came from India and I expected a lot from it.

Very good indian restaurant with buffet offering. We have tried their lunch buffet many times. The food is consistently good. The menu is varied and the buffet consists of a wide selection of items. They offer both vegetarian and meat, poultry and fish dishes. There is a side counter of appetizers being made to order. Even the desert direction is huge. The decor is nice and the staff are always courteous and friendly.

Choice of food items is not bad. Most of the items are either bland or too spicy / hot although some are reasonable. They charge $ 20 per adult now which is bit too pricey. The serving staff are generally nice. The biriyani today was out of date, smelly and soggy. When reported to the management the response was very cold – “we tasted it, its fine”!!. Perhaps it takes couple of stomach upset patients for them to understand its not fine just to say its fine and ignore. Beware of stealth charges – I was charged around $50 today for gratuity – this is petty, disgusting and outrageous. If your party was more than 4 apparently its their policy to add extortionate amounts as gratuity which they keep as a secret until you are ready to pay.
All in all it is not a bad place although I would spend my $20 elsewhere and most certainly keep away If I am with family or friends (party of more than 4).

This place used to be good. Now day by day, their quality is going down and down. I went there with my family members for Sunday buffet. The goat biriyani was terrible. The chicken kabab was awful. The food was at least 3-4 days old. Probably they mixed some chemical with the food. After the buffet, we all felt uncomfortable and had issues with the stomach. I slept almost whole day and felt very weak. Apart from food quality, the service quality is also going down. No one was there to fill the glass with water and take the dishes. I had to fill glasses 2-3 times. I will NEVER visit this place anymore. Terrible! Disappointing!

With all of the neighboring competition, Mirchi is hands-down the best Indian in the area. The lunch buffets are always hot, clean, well-maintained. The dishes are robustly flavorful and crafted for native palates. The options are bountiful for vegetarians and non-vegetarians alike. On Saturdays, (possibly other days as well) a dedicated chef is available at the chat action station, where diners can request a chat dish made to order with custom sauces to suit the mood. I prefer a samosa base, with spicy and sweet sauces. When short on time, the buffet is also sold by weight to-go, at a reasonable $9/lbs. This option has been fantastic for rushing home to catch the game. Easily the most underrated, hidden gem of ethnic dining.

We have been going to Mirchi for quite sometime. Very good selection of items. Many options for non-vegetarian but the vegetarians also get plenty. Being vegetarians, we did not feel as if we had limited options. It is South Indian style food and the chef likes to experiment every now and then which sometimes throws pleasant surprises.

I stopped by this place for a lunch today only to find out that they had a ‘Diwali’ special buffet priced at 21.5$ per person! That’s ridiculously over priced even if there were over 40 items on the menu.
The weekend buffets are usually around 18$ so am not surprised that they bumped up the price by 3$. But still way overpriced!!
