I only stopped by to order takeout and to try a new place on a whim, but I underestimated the Lamb Mandi that I ordered. It was so satisfying…
To be honest, I had no idea what it was, but the owner recommended it to me and I was feeling spontaneous so I said sure. It’s pricey at $29.99 and, admittedly, very basic in appearance… but when I took my first bites out of the Styrofoam takeout box, sitting on the steps looking out at the Georgetown sunset over the water, I realized I had underestimated this dish.
The lamb meat looked a liiiittle fresh and undercooked at first glance, but gosh it was tender and juicy. It was very satisfying indeed. I took before and after pictures for contrast. Clearly, I was satiated.
The rice was basic, as well, no frills, but it–along with the simple side salad–was satisfying and paired well with the meat. I can’t say I had complaints about the quality of the food.
The service was attentive upon walk in, though there weren’t many people at all, only one pair of folks inside at a table, and a couple groups outside at the front patio. Very sparse for a Saturday night.
I will say, I originally tried to order the much cheaper Kufta Kabob, but the owner suggested the Lamb Mandi and kept saying it was very good and very popular that night. I feel a little played, as I didn’t see how much it cost until after I got the receipt. I don’t regret the meal, but do know that it was one of the higher-end dishes on the menu.
I also got the Ayran (mint flavored) yogurt drink and found it to be quite tasty, and paired well with the Lamb. Tried to order Baklava but they were out. The owner suggested Kunafa, which is a sort of spongy-like dessert, not unlike tres des leches cake, but it was a little dry for my taste and unsatisfying.
Not much else to add, other than to reemphasize that the Lamb Mandi was expensive, a little raw-looking, but VERY tender and juicy and satisfying.
Maybe give this place a try. I’d go back to try out their Kufta Kabob at some point. Hopefully that’s also satisfying.
*NOTE that parking is very likely going to be street parking or garage parking nearby. No close metro stop in Georgetown. I also did not try the hookah, as I was ordering takeout and don’t actually smoke. The people next to me seemed to be enjoying theirs, though.
**Also didn’t check the bathroom, so I can’t comment on its maintenance. The inside restaurant was a little unkempt at first glance, with few tables inside for dining.

I visited your establishment this past weekend. Prior to my visit, during a phone conversation, I was informed that the location was BYOB. However, upon arrival, I was told that outside liquor was not permitted due to the presence of an on-site bar—which I completely understand. Unfortunately, the bar’s only options were Tito’s and Tanqueray, neither of which I consume.
Throughout the evening, I encountered several issues that were disappointing. Each time I inquired about hookah pricing, I was referred to the menu, yet the price I was quoted did not match what was listed. Based on the menu, my total should have been approximately $190, but my group was charged $246. I was not present at the time of payment and was unaware of the discrepancy until afterward.
Additionally, when we requested a hookah refill, we were told the total was $77. We paid with a $100 bill, but the server refused to provide change, stating it was a service charge. Considering we had already been overcharged previously, this was quite frustrating. I chose not to escalate the situation at that moment, as I wanted to avoid a scene.
If we had paid the exact amount of $77, I believe there would not have been an added service charge. Overall, I am very disappointed with how this situation was handled and regret not researching other venues before spending my hard-earned money.

I was excited to getThe mixed platter kabob, but lamb was not fully cooked. It was chewy. Beef has some smell like it had been in the freezer for long time. Chicken kabob are good and tender. Hopefully will get a better luck next time.

My girlfriend and I LOVE this place. Taha and his lovely wife always treat us so well. They make us feel like family and always provide us with the best customer service. The food is delicious and the atmosphere is great. It’s a really nice place to get food, do a litte hookah and just relax. A lot of places don’t mix their hookahs right or don’t refill your coals as often as they should. You don’t have to worry about that here. And the prices! Top notch. We were there last night (Friday, March 4) and we will definitely be back again soon!

My friends and I had the BEST time at Miramar. This is the best-value hookah you will find in DC, guaranteed! We sat there for hours and enjoyed the restaurant’s bright and relaxing atmosphere. Absolutely terrible experience. The food was clearly stale and tasted like it had been sitting out for days. To make matters worse, the staff were incredibly rude and unprofessional. They overcharged us and didn’t even honor the prices listed on their own menu. It felt like they were trying to scam people who didn’t double-check the bill. The service was awful from start to finish.
What really pushed this place into a nightmare was the hygiene or complete lack of it. There were rats running around the dining area, which is not just disgusting, but a serious health hazard. I honestly can’t believe this place is still operating. Avoid at all costs.
