I was honestly impressed with this place! Usually when you order steak at many restaurants, the portions can feel a bit small and leave you wanting more — but not here! The serving size was generous and truly satisfying. The steak itself was cooked beautifully and tasted absolutely delicious. You can tell they care about quality and about making their guests happy. The staff was also very accommodating and made the whole experience even better.
What surprised me even more was the sushi — the portions were incredibly large compared to what you typically get elsewhere. And the lobster? Wow! Instead of tiny shredded bits, they served real, chunky pieces, including actual claw meat. That attention to detail really stood out. Overall, a fantastic dining experience that exceeded expectations in both taste and portion size! ✨

Food was good, not a great portion size for the price but good flavor. Personally I would rather see more rice and less hibachi vegetables (hibachi broccoli is new to me…) Alcohol drinks very reasonably priced.

We used to love coming here – the food was amazing! Tonight we had the most disappointing experience. We had a server who was so sweet and did her absolute best – but it was her 2nd day and there was zero excuse for management leaving her without help! My drink was supposed to be a cherry martini, but I am fairly certain it was 90% grenadine – My husband was served his whiskey and soda with no ice. One of the appetizers we ordered was incorrect and the replacement wasnt received until after our meal arrived and it was ice cold. We sat at a regular table but ordered from the hibachi menu – we never received our salad or soup. We also never received any sauces for our meals and our veggies were half warm and half ice cold. We had so many fixes we reported to her that we got to the point we felt so had saying anything more and just didn’t.
I’d like to reiterate, it was clear that our waitress wanted to do her best and was taking pride in her job – however the rest of the staff and management we could see there was certainly doing nothing to support or train her. We could see staff noticiably avoiding her so they didnt have to help her. And the lack of integrity of the food going out is quite sad also! It is likely that we will not be back after this which is sad since this used to be one of our favorite places!

Had an awesome boat for 2 . The sushi was delicious. The service was fast and friendly . They bought everything you would need to enjoy the full experience of their restaurant. It came with soup or salad. I had traditional tea my husband love his cocktail with his meal and they were right on Top of it. And the boat was prepared right were you could see everything they did.. true a great experience. .today I decided to try the salmon and steak Hibachi it was delicious.

First time trying this place out. Friday night, walk in and wait in line to find out how long of a wait to be seated. The lady at the counter says we can sit down now. I tell her my family is in the car so I’ll be right back with them. We come back in a min later to find she had seated everyone else that walked in behind me rather than waiting for us to get back and seat us. So now we have a good 20 min wait for a table. We get to the table and the lady is trying to tell us where and how to sit (just let us sit where we want) The drinks, and sushi was good however we waited quite a while for the food. The rice is the most disgusting rice I’ve ever eaten at a sushi restaurant. We will try it again, but the woman at the front should seat people according to when they arrived. If she doesn’t understand English, she shouldn’t be st the front of the house!

been here many many times. wonderful food. only issue ive ever had is usually just long wait times. never negatively affected my expierience. tonight however i ordered a sushi roll with some mods and it was so big it was almost inedible. was clear the costumer was not considered. every other meal I’ve had here has been wonderful

Hit or miss! Once I came and watched an employee’s child run around screaming while I paid $150 for a hibachi lunch because of “fees” to sit at the hibachi grill even though it’s a hibachi restaurant. Other times we have thoroughly enjoyed our experience. Dont forget to tip your hibachi chef AND your server!

Been here in mostly for takeout maybe 25 times over the years,,,, I can’t do it anymore really just mediocre at best,,, sushi is supposed to be perfect am going to have to just make the 1 to 1.5 hour drives to Bangor or Portland when am in the mood

Mirakuya is my go-to for sushi in Waterville, and because it’s always busy I can see it’s a popular place. Food is great, service is always friendly, the decor is dated, but the atmosphere is cozy. They offer hibachi, table service, as well as sushi bar and a cocktail bar.
