Wow. Just wow! Absolutely incredible food. They get their fish fresh from Japan 3 times a week, they use new oil everyday (which results in the best gyoza I’ve ever had in my life)…. Everything was sooo fresh and delicious! My husband ordered the yellow tail jalapeño roll which he loved, he also tried the fire roll which he said it was “really good, very different”. This spot has multiple options for vegetarians. Ten out of ten experience!!

very very fresh sashimi and reasonable prices for deliciously unique specialty rolls as well as classics. we’d love to try the fire roll next time, we were told that it’s their special! the service was also excellent and personable, and I love that they serve barley tea at the perfect temp 🙂

This is one of those places I tried where I wondered why I have not been by sooner since I am so close by. Props to this spot for being open on a Monday night as it was frustrating finding a sushi spot that wasn’t closed. This place looked promising, so I decided to give it a try and I am very glad I did. They had a great variety of different special rolls; I am not a fan of cucumber on sushi and they were accommodating to my preference for every roll. A lot of the time when I request no cucumber at sushi places, it falls on deaf ears and I end up taking it out myself but they were accommodating here. I was also a big fan of their shrimp tempura because they cut the tails off the shrimp without me having to ask. I can’t stand when a few tails are left on the shrimp for decoration and I make a mess eating the piece. Even when I request it off at certain places, that is ignored even more than the no cucumber request. This is the first spot I ever went to that served shrimp tempura exactly how I like it without me having to make any adjustments to my order. One thing I loved about their sushi style in general is that many of their rolls come with crunchy flakes on/in the sushi which is a nice touch. That element of crunch and extra flavor from the crumbs really does push the sushi to the next level; I would like all my sushi to have this addition to it. The general quality of the fish was also quite good; from the tuna and yellow tail to their cooked options. One thing that would make this place perfect would be if they offered an all you can eat option; as a customer I could wish for that, but I know it is not always in a restaurants best interest to offer it lol. I will also add that the service was great; we did not have to call a server over at any point to ask for anything because they were very attentive. Overall, I was very satisfied and will definitely be back. I highly recommend this place to sushi lovers in the area.

We ordered the Roll Set for Two via DoorDash and were very impressed with the value! For the price, it included 4 regular rolls, 2 special rolls, tempura, salad, and miso soup. Everything was delicious and fresh. The tempura was especially good—crispy and perfectly seasoned, with a great accompanying sauce. While it could easily feed three, it’s a very satisfying meal for two. My favorite was the sashimi roll (rice-less!), which really let the quality of the fish shine. I’m looking forward to trying their Korean menu next time!

Do yourself a favor and don’t go to any other sushi place in the area. I’ve literally tried everywhere within a 20 mile radius and nothing compares to the freshness, quality and service of this place. Absolute gem of a sushi spot. Plus, it’s BYOB!! 10/10 recommend.

Let me first say that the sushi here is very good. It’s probably one of the better rolls in the area and the fact its byob is def a plus. So why the ehh rating? I’ve been here multiple times and the service is very hit or miss. I dont say that lightly. When it’s bad, I’m not talking like “its hard to flag someone down” type bad service. I mean straight up unacceptable. If there’s only a few other tables when you’re there, you’re fine, but if its busy good luck. One time I waited 70+.minutes to get my food after ordering. That’s not an exaggeration. I started staring at the clock after awhile. We were told after about 30-40 minutes that the server had forgotten to put our order in. Honestly i wasn’t even mad. I get it, people make mistakes. What I think is unacceptable is we were told our order would be placed at the top of queue because of the mistake. Nope. Watched order after order come out of the kitchen that wasnt ours. Literally had people sit after us, finish their meal and leave before I saw food. Had to follow up on it 3 more times and just kept being told it’s next and the kitchen is busy. I had a perfect view of the sushi bar from my table. I could see they were busy. I could also see about 10 orders get completed before ours waa promised as “next”. Whatever, I chalked it up to a bad day, especially since the lady who kept talking to us seemed really apologetic. This more recent time I encountered an attitude problem that really annoyed me. When our bento box came there was no rice so we asked for a bowl. Cool. When our soup came I had to ask for a soup spoon and a fork for my 3 year old. Again, no problem. Finally, as we were eating the sushi I asked for extra wasabi and ginger and was told by someone (idk if he’s a manger or owner or what, but hes an older guy) that we need to stop asking for things because he’s come to us “5 times” already. Mind you, we were never once checked up on, this was all flagging people down. Also, each of these dishes came out at different times so we needed different things for each dish. I guess i was supposed to wait, let all the food get cold, and then decide all at once everything we needed. Or maybe my toddler should suck it up and not have utensils? Like I said, the attitude was really off putting and I’ll probably not be going back even though they have good food. What a shame.

We had a wonderful experience at Mirak restaurant! The menu offered plenty of great options, and everything we ordered was incredibly fresh and delicious. You can really taste the quality in every bite. The service was also excellent — our waitress was friendly, attentive, and took the time to suggest different dishes based on our preferences, which we really appreciated.
One small note for next time: we’d love to see green tea on the menu. It would be the perfect complement to such a lovely meal. Looking forward to coming back soon!

Mirak was a great place for a casual dinner with friends. We came in on a very busy Friday night. Despite that the service was very good. They were out of a few items, however overall the food was good.

We ordered some Korean dishes, galbi, kimchi soup, the galbi was well marinaded, the kimchi soup was nicely spicy.

We got a lot of sashimi and rolls. All the seafood was of good quality. Everything was fresh. The rolls were tastefully done
