A Visionary Dining Experience: Modern Asian Fusion at Mirae
We recently had the pleasure of visiting Mirae in Brookhaven/Buckhead after being invited by friends for a double date. True to its name—which means “future” in Korean—this upscale destination offers a dining experience that feels both ahead of its time and deeply rooted in tradition.

The Ambiance: A Zen Escape
Centered around a tranquil Zen garden, the restaurant features high ceilings, soft lighting, and refined wood tones.

A Culinary Masterclass
Mirae’s menu is a brilliant reimagining of Asian(especially Korean) influences. The flavors are original, modern, and high-end:

Menbosha & Short Ribs: The Prawn Toast with yuzu aioli and the Miso-Braised Short Ribs with wasabi mashed potatoes showcased a flawless blend of Asian ingredients and modern techniques.

Exquisite Beverage & Wine Pairing
What truly set this evening apart was the beverage program:

Curated Cocktails: We started with their low-ABV cocktails, which were expertly crafted to be refreshing without masking the delicate flavors of the food.

The Perfect Wine: Following our server’s thoughtful recommendation, we enjoyed a bottle of ZD Wines (Premiere Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon 2022). It was a spectacular pairing that elevated every dish, particularly the braised meats.

Exceptional Service
The service was hospitable and attentive, designed around a coursed, shareable experience. Our server was knowledgeable and ensured that every detail of our meal was perfect.

Final Verdict
Whether you are planning a romantic date to remember or a special gathering with family and friends, I cannot recommend Mirae highly enough. If you are in Atlanta, this is an absolute must-visit for anyone who appreciates creative, upscale Asian fusion.

Everything here is exceptional. The atmosphere is calming yet enticing, setting the stage for a dining experience that feels both intentional and inviting. Each dish takes you on a journey of flavorful discovery, with thoughtful execution in every bite.

The shrimp toast is a standout appetizer—perfectly crisp and buttery, with flavors that complement the shrimp beautifully. The bone marrow is equally impressive and not to be missed.

For entrées, the Chilean Seabass (the cauliflower puree is unreal) and Claypot Chicken shine. The Claypot Chicken, in particular, showcases expertly executed crispy rice, adding depth and texture to the dish.

You truly cannot go wrong with anything on this menu.

A truly impressive new spot and well worth a visit!!

Every dish on this menu felt thoughtfully composed and deeply satisfying, with flavors that were both refined and comforting. The meal opened with bright, confident starters, as the Korean beef tartare balanced soy infusion, pear, and gamtae with precision, while the shrimp toast paired yuzu aioli and gochujang for a clean hit of richness and heat. Highly recommend the confit cabbage salad with black garlic gel and miso butter emulsion, followed by the crab bisque lifted with yuzu oil and wasabi chips.

The crispy pork belly wrap, finished with plum sauce and pickles, and the bone marrow accented by tamarind essence and micro basil showed a confident interplay of depth and acidity. The mains were equally compelling. My favorite dish is the Chilean seabass, which was silky and elegant alongside soy infusion, cauliflower purée, and nasturtium oil, while the claypot chicken delivered comfort through bouillon rice, mushroom, sweet pepper, bok choy, and truffle. Lighter options like the tofu steak with caramelized soy reduction and the prawn shrimp finished in creamy garlic butter felt intentional and well executed. Overall, the restaurant offered a completed menu that consistently demonstrated balance, restraint, and a clear respect for ingredients. The atmosphere is elegant, perfect for many elevated occasions.

We had such an amazing dining experience tonight for the second weekend of the soft opening. We started with the crab bisque, which had a lump of crab in the center — you could truly taste the freshness of the seafood, and the flavors were perfectly balanced with the creaminess of the soup.
The hand rolls had just the right amount of kick, and the claypot chicken was absolutely to die for — easily one of the best dishes I’ve ever had. The crispy rice on the bottom tied it all together and gave it that perfect texture. It’s one of those dishes you know you’ll never be able to recreate at home!
My boyfriend ordered the Crouching Tiger, which came topped with a delicate basil blossom. Our waitress, Sarah, explained how it enhanced the aromatics of the drink — we even took a small nibble after enjoying its fragrance. Sarah was incredibly knowledgeable and really guided us through the menu, making the experience feel personalized and thoughtful.
We were warmly welcomed and thanked by one of the managers while waiting for our main course-which was such a nice touch. The decor and plating were stunning. Even the hand roll plates complemented the design of the walls.
Overall, every detail, from the food to the service to the ambiance was beautifully executed. We’ll definitely be back!

My guest and I dined at Mirae the other night, and it was such a great experience. We got the Confit Cabbage Salad, Bone Marrow, & Handroll as starters. For main’s we got the Matsukasa Yaki, Chilean Seabass, & Claypot Chicken. The server coursed out the meals, there was never too much on the table and we indulged all the flavors. Handroll had a great savory taste and nice hint of crunch, while the bone marrow had a unique tamarind melted on and paired well with the bread. Then I had the Japanese red snapper dish, Chilean seabass, and claypot chicken. Red Snapper paired with a fish consume, bokchoy, oyster mushrooms- all the flavors was so nice. The Chilean seabass was also wonderful having a great fluffy texture and a unique crispy honeycomb. The Claypot Chicken, had a crispy bottom & a truffle soy glaze! Everything was well presented and looked great to the eyes, from atmosphere to the food & service.

Mirae in Brookhaven was such a great find. The cocktails alone are worth the visit — the Celestial Smoke was excellent, and the Whispers of Kyoto was especially refreshing with its pineapple and amaretto notes. The food was exceptional as well; the pasta was absolutely amazing and easily a standout of the night. The overall vibe is stylish yet relaxed, and it’s really nice being away from the hustle of Midtown Atlanta. One thing to note is that the mains are on the smaller side, so would recommend ordering a few dishes to share. Perfect spot for a date night or a chill evening with great drinks and food. Would definitely go back!

we went there during the soft opening period and loved it so much. we can’t wait to visit there when it is fully opened. Service and drinks were great. Food looked amazing. We had a dinner reservation so we just had a couple drinks at the bar. Bartender was really nice and friendly. Their cocktail was amazing. The price looked very reasonable as well.
