Great service! Amazing drinks, delicious appetizers and fantastic cocktails. It was new year’s day and there were two very large parties so it was loud but the service was still excellent. I didn’t save my receipt so I didn’t remember the server’s name but it was something like Ariel or Aria. She said she had been there for a few weeks but was a long time customer herself. She complimented the food choices, she had high praise for the bartenders (and we agree), she was accurate, prompt and very friendly. You made an excellent choice in hiring her. Everything about the experience was excellent. Thank you everyone, and happy New Year!

TLDR: Great food, great staff, great key lime pie
Came in on a Friday afternoon for dinner with visiting family. This place was recommended by an Italian as being one of the better Italian restaurants in the area and he wasn’t wrong. Parking was a little interesting being in a popular area mixed with apartments.
Upon entry, staff were pleasant and attentive. There were 5 of us and we were trying to figure out if we want to split some appetizers or just grab a Margherita pizza to split. Our waiter suggested the pizza amd glad that he did. The pizzas are baked in a hot wood fired oven that you can see from the seating area. The crust is delicious with a great chew to it. The sauce has a subtle sweetness and the fresh basil offers that familiar flavor that i love in a simple Margherita pizza.
For the mains, my wife got the braised short rib pasta and I got the cacio e pepe, a dish that on the surface seems simple, but if not executed correctly, you can tell. The short rib by itself was a little overcooked but had great flavor. When eating the meat with the noodles and sauce, you really couldn’t really tell it was overcooked. The meat was tender and the sauce had a great depth of flavor.
For dessert we ordered what I can only describe as the best slice of key lime pie outside of Key West, FL that I’ve ever had. This was a very generous slice accompanied by fresh blueberries and strawberries, topped with a heavy whipped cream. This was better than some of the key lime pies that we had in Key West even.
All in all, we were very happy with this place and will be coming back. Highly recommend.

Went here for lunch and as you can see, the food portions were quite a lot. The food was fantastic. We had several different entrees and everyone loved the flavor, whether it be spicy or simple like the salad. The only thing i could say negative about any of the food is that the calamari was a little bland, which in normally is but just could use a little work. The sauce helped cover that up. I would absolutely go back and I would recommend if you are in the area!

This place made my Mothers Day extra special. They literally did everything perfect. Brought amazing food, amazing recommendations and then when they thought they needed to do better on getting to us quicker- comped the entire meal. Literally everything we ate. I was so happy I couldn’t believe it. The food is some of the best I have ever had ! If you want amazing food in a beautiful romantic atmosphere- you found it !!!

Eric was our server and took great care of us. My husband was dehydrated and drank like 6 glasses of water and Eric kept up! Made great recommendations as it was our first time( Italian customer recommended this place to me). Everything was delicious, and if you are a fan of key lime pie (we sampled a lot in Key West FL). This place HAS THE BEST KEY LIME PIE IN TX.

I love coming here! My husband and family love the special dishes they have, you’re not gonna find some of their dishes anywhere else.
I looove their cheesecake which is 100% made from scratch, even the whipped cream is made there and it’s delicious.
My favorite plate is the Melanzane Parmagiana but every week they have different specials.

EXCELLENT… we came for lunch and were served by Nacho , his service was excellent. He was the only waiter there during this time. And despite this, he treated us perfectly. If I tell you each dish is worth the price, BELIEVE IT.

We have been to Mio Nono many time and absolutely love it!!! We try new things every time we go and the specials never disappoint. The calamari and Cesar salad are our go to apps, then we rotate between the pastas! They’re all amazing. We also definitely recommend the key lime pie for dessert to share! It’s a hefty piece of pie that comes beautifully plated and is perfectly tart and not too sweet. Service is always top tier and it’s a great place to casually brunch at or have a nicer celebratory dinner!

Compliments on a truly wonderful dining experience. From the delicious antipasti—Caprese, Bruschetta, and perfectly grilled octopus—to the flavorful entrées including the Mama Rigatoni alla Vodka, Short Rib Pappardelle, and Shrimp Linguini, every dish was outstanding. Mio Nonno delights all around with truly exceptional food, outstanding service, and a warm, cozy atmosphere.
The margherita pizza was the best I have had in America, truly perfect. Our other meals (salad and veal) were perfectly prepared and seasoned. The service was also excellent, with an attentive wait staff who catered to all of our wants.
The only negative I would mention are the chairs, which are extremely uncomfortable. They are hard and angled, making you feel as if you are sliding down.
Other than that, Mio Nonno offers one of the most delicious Italian flavors in the area. It ranks third in my list of Italian restaurants nationwide.
