Went here for lunch with my sister. Staff were extremely friendly and the food was amazing. Best Indian food i’ve ever had. Everything was fresh and hot and had great flavor. Portions were large and price was great. 100% recommend!

Our friends told us to try this place, so glad we did! It was so delicious! The food was so full of flavor! Naan bread and Indian tea were also just perfect! We will definitely be back! The ambiance isn’t authentic but the food is absolutely delicious.

I’m so happy this place was recommended to my sister and I. We went on Sunday at opening and it was very quiet and chill, did not have to wait for seating. They had good music playing and the guy working the front was nice and respectful.

We ordered their…
Butter Chicken – 10/10.
Lamb Biriyani – 10/10.
Garlic Naan – 10/10.
Strawberry Lassi – 7/10. The flavor was pretty good, just not something I would order again.

We were very happy with everything. I will be going back!

The best Indian food around!!!! Wow! I’ve eaten a lot of places and I never post reviews. This time I had to. We’ve been here twice and my wife and I are in love. The best butter chicken! The best tandoori chicken!!! Also the service is fantastic! My wife ordered the wrong samosas and the waiter insisted we eat them while he makes us regular ones.
I also love they give out cold bottled water. I don’t like drinking tap water. Anyways, wow!!!! Come eat here!! You won’t be disappointed!!!

I took my daughter here in June after here graduation ceremony and it was such a great little place, I’m planning on returning again with her this week. The food was great and really good size portions. And the tree lined courtyard in the front is very inviting.

Some coworkers recommended Mint Leaf. My husband and I had never had Indian food before so we didn’t know what we were getting ourselves into. We ordered apricot lamb, lamb korma, saffron rice, garlic naan bread and mango chutney. It was all DELICIOUS!! As we were paying we told the gentleman working that it was our first time ever eating Indian food. He ran to the back and brought us out some rice pudding to take home. We will definitely be returning!

This is more than a pleasant surprise, this is my go to now for Indian food. My hubby and I went for a date night and it was perfect, so I had to take our kids about a month later and everything was just as perfect. The portions are phenomenal and they do not skimp on the amount of meat, veggies, or potatoes in each dish. Every dish I’ve tried so far(scroll down for more details on each dish) the meats have been perfectly cooked, along with the veggies and potatoes. Also most dishes come with a side of white basmati rice, which is very well cooked.

The staff are so very nice, friendly and will help you with recommendations as well as any questions on individual dishes. They really do know their menu, and I so appreciate that.

Spicy heat levels: The spiciness we’ve tried is medium, which my hubby says is the perfect amount of heat. While I find the medium to be extremely tasty, I don’t find it spicy at all. I think the hotter levels(hot and extra hot) are the perfect level. So just be cognizant of your spice tolerance because the levels are noticeable.

Drinks: they sit you with a fresh bottle of ice cold water. I’m fine with just that. But they do have plenty of other choices.

Appetizers: We get the samosas with the ground lamb and oh my gosh so good. They are perfectly crispy, and huge. The filling is substantial, with a wonderful amount of ground lamb not just veggies. The spices and sauce is deep in flavor and should not be passed up. They also come with their cilantro sauce which is very bright and I do believe it is a tamarind sauce which is a bit sweet, on the side, they are both wonderful. It’s nice to go back and forth, it’s like having three different appetizers in one.

Sides: so far we’ve gotten the garlic naan. Each order comes with quite a few pieces to get you through your meal. It’s freshly cooked not frozen. It has a nice crisp to it and a little bit of fluff. The butter garlic and cilantro on top isn’t skimped on but doesn’t make it soggy.
We’ve also tried the saffron rice. This was very tasty, it had a very satisfying saffron flavor and the rice wasn’t dry at all.

Mains: Lamb curry is my favorite Indian dish and this one is so very good. They do a wonderful job of balancing all the spices so all the flavors really stand out.
Butter chicken. It’s really buttery and rich. It isn’t tomato forward but in a wonderful way, but that’s personally the way I like it. You can certainly feel and taste all the wonderful spices they use, it is very well balanced, with perfectly cooked chicken.
Lamb vindaloo, the spices are so deep and everything has been cooked to really infuse those flavors into all the pieces.
Lamb mushroom, is mushroomy and they take on the spices so well. If you love mushrooms you’re gonna love this combo of flavors.
Lamb biryani, this one has a beautiful blend of spices, rice, and huge lamb chunks all blended together. It’s a dish that you’ll take bite after bite just to taste that blend again.

So if you like/ love Indian food this is a place that i think will make you appreciate it even more. If you’ve never tried it and are curious this is a perfect place I think to start you off on an amazing journey. If you think you’d not like Indian food, I’ll tell you I was the same until I took a chance and tried something new and found a journey through some beautiful flavors that I’ve craved ever since.

My wife and I had the lamb biryani and chicken curry. Also vegetable samosa for an appetizer. It was all delicious! Huge chunks of fall-apart chicken and delicious lamb. Generous portions. Mango lassi was outstanding too.. We don’t make it to Salem often, but we would love to return!

This place is phenomenal! First, the food is so very tasty! Lamb biryani and garlic naan never disappoint. Second, customer service goes above and beyond!! Grubhub does not show that it is closed during the afternoon from 2-4:30. I was craving their delicious food today for a late lunch and I mistakenly placed an order just after 2pm. They called me to let me know they were closed but neither of us could successfully cancel the order. They made it for me anyway. Talk about above & beyond! I am so grateful!!

Everyone should frequent Mint Leaf Bistro, if you don’t already. Just please don’t order from them via the delivery apps between 2-4:30.

I’m writing this review in hopes the owners review. My wife and I used to be obsessed with the Chicken Korma, but it seems with time, like many restaurants, the flavor profile has gone a little downhill. Still very good, but a little disappointing.
