The food felt very fresh and homely. The chicken biryani and mutton curry stood out—simple dishes, but done really well with authentic flavor and freshness. Everything tasted clean and comforting.
The crowd was a pleasant surprise for a newly opened place, but the staff managed seating efficiently and we got settled quickly. Overall, it was a great first impression and a very enjoyable meal.
Looking forward to coming back again!
While the food had a decent flavor most of it was too spicy.
I sampled the chicken tikka masala, goat curry, paneer butter masala, chicken biryani and 2 other chicken dishes (one might have been chicken 65). They also has naan available.
The dining room looked a bit messy, with the chairs not pushed into the tables. I realize it’s not fine dining but maybe put a little effort in to presentation.
Overall I definitely liked Saffron better and I don’t think I’ll return here with these spice levels. Folks who are fans of spicy Indian food may enjoy it though.
We came here by chance and really loved it. The goat vindaloo was really amazing. We will definitely stop here when in town.
Service was attentive and efficient without hovering, and the staff was happy to make recommendations. The atmosphere was clean, comfortable, and welcoming—great for both a casual meal and a sit-down dinner.
Portions were generous for the price, and every dish we tried delivered. If you’re looking for consistently good Indian food with authentic flavor and solid service, this place is absolutely worth coming back to.
I am very familiar with Indian cuisine and have enjoyed it all my life. I have eaten at every Indian restaurant in Little Rock, many of them multiple times. Before Mint, this location housed what I felt were the best offerings—especially Namaste, which was my favorite Indian restaurant in Little Rock and easily deserving of five stars.
I always order samosas, and unfortunately these arrived lukewarm and were clearly the frozen, pre-made variety that had been microwaved—the kind readily available in grocery stores. I am familiar with food costs, and these were priced higher than comparable options elsewhere. This is the main reason I am writing this review. If the samosas reflect the level of care given to the rest of the food, I find that unacceptable.
The plates and glasses were dirty. The dal makhani was good, but the other two dishes—saag paneer and aloo gobi—were average at best, and I wondered if they too were frozen and reheated. The garlic naan was below standard. I also feel that Indian music playing in the background would enhance the overall dining experience.
It saddens me to write this. I did appreciate the cloth napkins, and the two people I spoke with were sweet and kind. Still, I honestly feel that Mint is not quite ready to be open.
Please forgive my candor. When I am in Little Rock, I always look forward to eating Indian food. Namaste was excellent, and Saffron was good at this location. Compared to those, I regret to say that, in my opinion, the other Indian restaurants in Little Rock are mediocre.
I sincerely wish everyone at Mint success, but sadly, I will not be returning anytime soon.
Unceasing blessings.
