If you’re ever in Sheridan, Wyoming, you have to stop by The Mint Bar, A true Western icon serving drinks since 1907.

On my visits, I usually order a Wyoming Whiskey (highly recommend ) and take in that authentic Old West vibe. From the knobby wood interior, branding irons, and taxidermy décor — this place truly feels like you are stepping back in time.

I’ve been to countless bars, taverns, juke joints, honky tonks and dive bars across the country, but The Mint Bar is in a class of its own. Sheridan boasts 46 buildings on the National Registry of Historic Places, but none feel more legendary to me than this spot.

For me, it’s the go-to bar whenever I’m in town. A true cowboy watering hole with over 118 years of history poured into every glass.

Went in for a birthday drink. I’m here from AZ so I don’t really know anyone. But Mallory was super welcoming, and the vibe was great with the regulars. Absolutely would recommend to everyone!! Wish I could just bring them home with me when I leave. Thanks for the great birthday evening!!

Manny (sorry if I misspelled your name) gave us exceptional service and kindness. We arrived to the bar in hopes of celebrating our friend’s 21st birthday! We had a left another bar as it was not a scene we wanted to expose our new friend to as her first round out… so we moved the Mint in hopes of a safe, fun, and enjoyable experience; Manny totally created this for her! He was so timely, friendly, and caring! He made delicious drinks and promptly checked in on us. He was attentive to us and his other customers. Definitely recommend you go to the Mint and meet Manny! Thank you for your excellent service Manny!

This is a really cool very historic bar. Lots of historic pictures, taxidermy mounted animals. Out door seating, Cold beer of all kinds on tap local 307 and domestics. They even have HAMM’S!!! America’s favorite classic lager! I’ve heard the mixed drinks are great too. I like the bar staff they fantastic! Check out the woodwork in here too the bartop, bar back and booth seating is really cool and unique. I’ve also heard the actor that plays Walt Longmire stops in here once in awhile. I would love to meet him here sometime and buy him a drink some day.

Super cool mountain theme, lots of mounted game animals around the bar, bear, wolf, moose, deer, elk, you name it. Lots of old-timey photos, I dig seeing stuff like that. Great local beer, nice bar staff. It’s not a big place, and I didn’t see anyone eating so I don’t think they serve food (but I didn’t ask) Pop in and grab a drink!

Avmust stop if you are visiting the area. One of the best country bars that I have ever been to. The animals and history on the walls are awesome. The wooden booths in the back would make any wood worker envious.
