First off our server was great. She was attentive, fast, and made recommendations and didn’t mind that my family, friends, and I were a bit slow to order. It was our first time and they have a vast menu.
The food itself is great and the atmosphere is family friendly for sure.
This locations bathroom set up differently different, but fine. Definitely not docking marks for their creativity there.
We are planning on returning and trying some of their more exotic pizzas.

Pizza was so so toppings were good I didn’t like the crust. I should’ve gotten the thin crust maybe. If I go back I’ll try the thin crust. Nice place though had the chiefs game on. Service was great and servers are friendly. I’m from Chicago so I like a certain crust for my Pizza and I just can’t seem to find it.

The deep dish was slapping! Very good, not quite like deep dish in Chicago but satisfies the deep dish craving 100%

Minskys always has great food, the pizza is delicious with plenty of flavor. The toppings amount is however “hit or miss” I’ve gotten various pies with not much meat under the cheese when it was supposed to be. Overall great food though. The pricing is slightly more expensive than national brands but I would say it is worth it. The pizza is more dense and the cheese, sauce, crust is richer and more flavorful. They have so many different flavors of pies that are all unique in their own. Check them out you won’t be sorry you did

I recently visited Minsky’s Pizza in Independence, MO, and was left thoroughly disappointed. While my dine-in lunch was good, the PRIME CUT WHITE CHEDDAR MAC & CHEESE to-go was a major letdown. The portion size was shockingly small compared to the same item I enjoyed at the Lee’s Summit location just a week prior.
I spoke to the manager, who explained that they follow corporate guidelines for portion sizes and suggested that the to-go container made the portion appear smaller than it actually was. However, the photo clearly shows it barely covering the bottom of the container.
It’s understandable that portions can vary, but this Independence portion was at best a third the size of the Lee’s Summit portion, yet both cost the same price of $11.99. The Lee’s Summit portion was generous enough for two people to share and still have leftovers.
Given this experience, I cannot recommend the Minsky’s Pizza in Independence. The portion size and the manager’s response were unacceptable. Lee’s Summit has proven to be far more consistent and a much better value for the money. We will definitely be choosing Lee’s Summit for our future visits.

My son Sly and nd I frequently eat there. The pizza is great when dining in. Last 2 carry outs were horrible. The manager told me to order more sauce the next time. Really there will not be a next time. The first time I let it go but this time I complain. Thanks for nothing Minksy

I used to go to Minsky’s Pizza years ago when it was downtown and it was good. The one on 291 Highway in Independence that I most recently went to was a huge disappointment, Not only was it extremely overpriced but the pizza was not as good as a Freschetta or a DiGiorno that you can buy at the grocery store for $7 needless to say I will never waste my money at Minsky’s again

I eat @ Minsky’s at least once a month. This is my 3rd and last time visiting this location. I’d rather drive to SW Blvd. from Independence in order to not deal with horrible customer service. Not one smile from the staff – a fake smile would have sufficed. I even tipped on a to-go order only to bite into it and realize it was cold. Definitely not worth the $40+ I spent. Never again.

Pretty damn good pizza. Our waitress was friendly. The one dying downside I had to it was the cream cheese n pesto dip. It was good but it was so gooey with what appeared to be mozzarella that it was hard to eat. Overall very good we will come back

My first visit to this Minsky’s yielded a mixed experience. While the initial wait for a server to greet us and take our drink order was quite lengthy, once we did order, everything else arrived in an appropriate amount of time. Our server, I think his name was Michael, was excellent after he took over; I have no complaints about his service whatsoever. However, the calzone I ordered was a bit of a letdown. It didn’t seem to be cooked evenly or browned on the crust, and the ingredients inside were not evenly dispersed, leading to an excess of doughy ends on both sides. Frankly, it wasn’t the best calzone I’ve ever had, and I believe the Liberty location makes them quite a bit better. Since I’m normally not in this part of town, I doubt I’ll be returning to this specific location. If you’re looking for a good calzone, I’d recommend trying a different Minsky’s location or perhaps Old Chicago instead.
