Fourth time here and it just keeps getting better. Solid caviar selection, lots of alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages to choose from. We went a little overboard this last time and were total gluttons, but the staff didn’t seem to mind. Lol. Wonderful service and a great chef team.

Husband and I think this was one of the best, if not the best dining experiences we’ve had in Detroit. We went for NYE and thought the tasting menu was phenomenal, along with the service. We also got the lobster roll and basil ice cream. Highly highly recommend.

This is one of the few higher-end restaurants in Detroit that I consistently return to—and for good reason. The menu changes monthly, making each visit feel like a fresh culinary adventure. Their oysters and seafood are hands down the best and freshest I’ve had in the city.
What truly sets this place apart is the way it blends global culinary influences—Middle Eastern, Spanish, Asian—into dishes that are both innovative and beautifully balanced. Their technique, especially with fish, is refined and diverse, highlighting the chef’s creativity and skill.
The caviar service is exceptional—elevated, indulgent, and memorable. And don’t skip dessert: their house-made ice cream bursts with flavor and has an impeccable texture. The brie ice cream paired with caviar was unexpectedly phenomenal.
If there’s one area for improvement, it would be the seating and ventilation. The indoor space can feel a bit warm during summer months, and more seating would help. Still, it’s a standout experience every time.

Amazing- best fresh shucked oysters around. Awesome oyster selection. Unique and delicious tin meats served charcuterie style. Lobster roll was delicious as well. Service off the hook- staff is amazing- place is so clean and has great vibes. Small establishment, reservations recommended. Happy hour was fabulous as well w great drink and food specials. 10/10.

An exceptional dining experience from start to finish. I had the tasting menu at the bar, and every course was beautifully balanced—thoughtfully composed without unnecessary fuss, letting the core ingredients shine through with subtle, creative twists.
The rye Spätzle with uni butter was an absolute standout—one of those rare dishes you don’t forget. I’ve dined at many Michelin-starred restaurants around the world, and this was genuinely one of the best meals I’ve had the pleasure of experiencing.

Mink provides and intimate dining experience with an incredible atmosphere. Every single staff member is welcoming, knowledgeable, and attentive. You will learn about the food & never need to wait for service. The oysters are the best I have had in Michigan (and I try a lot of oysters!) Chef meticulously sources all of the food & makes sure to only serve the best. With the changing tasting menu, each time you dine is different from the last & you will have the opportunity to try unique dishes. And the drink menu! While it may not be the biggest, each drink is chosen to pair perfectly with the menu & you can’t go wrong with any bottle or drink. I’ve had the chance to try new wines & champagnes that truly elevate the menu & experience. The Mink crew has made the restaurant feel like I’m visiting a friend’s house, that serves the best food & drinks! You won’t regret a visit to Mink

My two friends and I had the best dining experience at MINK in Detroit! From the moment we walked in, the ambiance was warm, intimate, and absolutely worth braving a cold winter night for.
Our server, Melissa, was nothing short of amazing. She was incredibly well-versed in the menu, offered thoughtful and spot-on recommendations, and made us feel completely taken care of the entire evening. The entire staff was so welcoming and attentive, which really elevated the night.
The food? Truly some of the best I’ve ever had in Michigan. We tried caviar for the first time, and it was unforgettable. Every dish was beautifully prepared, full of flavor, and genuinely memorable. Dessert was equally delicious — the perfect finish to an already perfect meal.

We ate at Mink about a year and a half ago and have been talking about going back ever since. Finally made it—and wow, it was just as incredible as we remembered. Honestly, the only disappointment was that we waited so long to return. The food is absolutely amazing—thoughtful, creative, and just flat-out delicious. The staff was welcoming and friendly, and the whole experience felt effortless in the best way. Already looking forward to the next visit, we definitely won’t be waiting as long.
