This was my third visit to Minia’s and wow, just wow… blew me away yet again! My friend grabbed a seat outside on a Saturday morning for brunch, it was the perfect day for it too.
You have to try the Dominican drink called morir sonando. It’s made with orange juice, milk, cane sugar, and chopped ice. You can order it with OJ or fresh passion fruit juice; either or is good. I also tried the Caribbean style oatmeal with caramelized bananas on top. SOOOOOOO good. And a vegetable quesadilla with fries.
My friend ordered mangu con los tres golpes (mashed plantains, fried cheese, fried salami, and & sauteed onions) and a loaded chitvito uruguayo sandwich (steak, ham, bacon, mozzarella, egg , lettuce, tomato & mayo on an onions roll).
The service was quick and attentive plus the space is small and cozy. 10/10 recommend for breakfast and lunch!

From the moment we walked past this place, we could SMELL how special it was… the alluring aroma was hard to stay away from. On a whim, we walked in and were warmly greeted by staff and invited to sit quite promptly despite being so busy. First impression: great!
Service was excellent, and ambiance was very warm. But the food… the food was the star of this place. If you ever pass by this place, PLEASE do yourselves the favor and try the banana oatmeal. It is a perfect treat to end your meal as a pseudo dessert. Anything from this menu will tantalize your tastebuds in a way that will keep you coming back for more.

The atmosphere is super cozy.
Nataly, the barista, was awesome, really friendly and she made an amazing mocha. You can tell she knows what she’s doing.
The other girl, the server, was also really kind and attentive, making sure everything was perfect, which I appreciated. The food was delicious, I got a bowl and a wrap, and both were fresh, flavorful, and really well-made.

I tried Minias for the first time this weekend for Sunday brunch. It’s a cute, cozy restaurant in Montclair. It’s a little small, but you don’t feel like you’re on top of each other. I ordered the mangu as well as a chai latte. I liked the mangu — it was pretty good ! Chai latte was on the smaller side, maybe I’ll ask for a larger size next time .
The service was okay. I felt a bit rushed, but they were attentive, which I appreciated. My friend ordered the chivito al plato, but the sirloin was overdone and a bit chewy — not something I’d order if I go back.
Overall, I’d give this place another try, and I definitely recommend the mangu.

Stumbled onto this place getting my lab work done across the street. VERY difficult to choose just one item from the breakfast menu. Just one amazing sounding option after another. Decided to keep it on the healthy side and had an excellent omelette.

Let me just start off by saying wow. My food came out quick and tasted great. I had French toast with eggs and turkey bacon. I also got the iced brown shakes espresso (if you like a sweet coffee it’s perfect). The French toast was fluffy, and the right amount of sweetness. It wasn’t eggy at all!! I hate when I get french toast and it’s eggy, I was so happy after taking the first bite. It’s a cozy environment, with friendly staff. I loved that the majority were bilingual as well. I certainly will be back soon.

Amazing breakfast! Definitely quality & made with love! From the eggs to chorizo to the bread, even the pancakes taste like freshly baked cake or something, we were so happy when the kids pancakes were in different shapes like Mickey Mouse & a heart, the salad everything was fresh and perfect, orange juice was really good! We can’t wait to come back.

Cute spot for brunch. I got tenders and waffles, the tenders were delicious and had a nice homemade honey mustard. My husband got huevos rancheros and he liked it but the potatoes were a little undercooked and he found it hard to eat without it being too messy. The downside was that I had seen a pastry when I came in that was a cinnamon roll in a muffin wrapper and I asked the waiter for it when we sat down and he instead brought like a cinnamon muffin, and it was super dry and had nuts in it. Just a little pricey overall for the portions.

Food was great and so was their house made Passion fruit juice. The restaurant was small in the front not sure how big the back was. The food came out in a decent amount of time for a party of 6. Tip was included in the check. They don’t have a kids menu
