We had a delightful morning breakfast here. The staff were exceptionally welcoming and hospitable, clearly taking pride in maintaining their space, preparing the meals and ensuring good customer service. The food and beverages were not only delicious but also served in generous portions. The environment was bright, clean and minimalistic. I particularly enjoyed the fresh matcha latte and the variety of options available for breakfast. Overall, it was a wonderful way to start the day, and I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a satisfying and pleasant breakfast experience. We will certainly return.

My husband and I have passed by a bunch of times not realizing Minia’s was staring us in the face each time! Minia’s Fort Lee is diagonally across from Fiat House on N. Central Road at Merkle Street. If on Hudson Terrace, turn (a left turn if you’re going North and a right turn if you’re going South) onto Merkle St. and when you get to the stop sign, Minia’s is straight ahead at the base of the One Bridge Plaza building. There’s street parking on N. Central Road and there’s the parking garage also, so there’s no reason not to pop in.

This spot has FRESH, FLAVORFUL food that’s served HOT! The fact that there are now 3 locations of this family owned establishment tells you they are doing something right. The place is really clean, really organized and service is 100% on point.

The lowdown on our dishes: Tres Golpes (3 strikes/punches) is a powerhouse plate of 2 generous hockey puck Dominican salami slices (so good here and not to be confused with Italian salami, totally different flavor profile), 2 perfectly cooked over easy eggs, 2 mounds of mangu (mashed cooked green plantains to put it quite simply but there’s more to it than just mashing cooked plantains) with lovely strips of pickled red onions atop and a chunky slice of Dominican cheese that’s perfectly fried golden all over (not battered) so the cheese crisped on the outside and was lovely on the inside. It’s gonna be a tough call to stray away from this dish to try other items.

The Bistec a lo Pobre (or poor man’s steak in English)…ain’t nothin poor about this dish! Wonderfully cooked steak (sirloin), French fries, chunky slices of maduro (cooked sweet plantain), fluffy rice and an over easy egg placed on top.

Pancake platter. WOW. Fluffy pancakes (hint of cinnamon in the batter) were delish! Comes with eggs (we got scrambled, they were fluffy and light) and choice of meat (for us was bacon and it came so crisp and just the way bacon should be- even parts with the “fat” were crisp too).

Caribbean oatmeal. Que delicia esta avena! A family recipe handed down from Minia, the namesake matriarch of this family establishment. Caramelized (bruleed) banana slices on top (or you can get berries if you like for a fee) of a bowl of smooth oats. This isn’t like a typical oatmeal where you have to chew and you have the lumps from the oats. It’s completely smooth and more akin to porridge and oh so creamy. It’s so nice. A couple spoonfuls in and I was already feeling warm from the 32 degree weather outside. We will definitely put this on repeat order!

We both had the Colombian coffee. With milk. Sugar is to your liking. Good coffee, wakes you up but no jitters. Smooth flavor. And the hand painted mugs they came in added to the charm of our experience.

Then to top it all off, brownies to go. These are my kind of brownies-light, not dense. Moist, but not in that wet/fudgy way, not cake-like but they have the right chew. Good chocolate flavor. Good edges. WE got 2, but really I had 2 brownies because for all the intentions I may have had to save some for my husband, the 2nd brownie didn’t stick around long enough to even see my husband! It went and joined the 1st one in my tummy! I don’t know who baked these but they definitely deserve a hug! We also spotted some bagels, muffins and croissants at the counter, if you prefer. All fresh.

Coming to Minia’s was the best decision we made and totes made our Sunday happy on a cloudy winter day! The women in this establishment work hard and you can tell they take pride in their food and rightly so. They are lovely people. The place is clean- from the floors to the tables, the order counter and behind to the cooking area. This is how any food establishment should be. 1000% we will be back and the dishes we ate today we would definitely reorder without question. You can order takeout or delivery from the usual delivery apps but it’s so worth it to stop by and eat in! Try and see!

Edit 1/17/26 HUEVOS RANCHEROS=Must try, french toast fluffy & delish! See added photos. Google limit.

I was waiting for someone getting a procedure in the building and went to grab a bite.

The staff was attentive and efficient, my food was ready in minutes. I had the breakfast sandwich and a mocha, both delicious!! My picture doesn’t do it justice! I would definitely come back!

Ordered takeout on Uber Eats. Honestly thought it might be a ghost kitchen with fake pictures.

I was very wrong, this place is splendid! Food was still hot after 30-40 mins. It tasted great, juice chicken and fresh avocados. Went great with hot sauce.

Good food. Open seven days.
Two suggestions.
Would be a good idea to serve large coffee in a regular cup when the patron is dining in. Not in a to go cup.
The coffee order should be brought out ASAP.
No need to wait till the meal is ready.

This new cafe at One Bridge Plaza in Fort Lee, has delicious food and fast and friendly service. The view of GWB and NY skyline is a plus and the place is neat and clean. Must try their Quesadillas and Mango passionfruit smoothie! The soups are also made fresh and will help keep you warm this winter.
