Staff is friendly and very welcoming. When you walk in, you are presented with a modern Japanese sushi bar. The conveyor belts with food circulating around the tables and robot that bring your drinks to your table are a fun sight to see. The sushi was as fresh as could be and proportions were just right for a good bite. You also get a free mochi if you leave a review. Definitely would return.

High quality sushi and sashimi that you can order or pull off the revolving bar. Bar prices are $3.95/plate for 3-4 pieces of sushi or sashimi. Also has deserts. Or you can pay to order whole rolls that are about the same price as the grocery store but actually delicious!
I’ve been enjoying the Mings special role, seared white tuna, sashimi, and seared scallop with jalapeño. Also, they’re small hot saggy is HUGE if you ask me.
Happy hour is end of the day and I think it’s buy 3 get 1 free on the bar. Don’t quote me on that.

Fun atmosphere with a good happy hour menu. Recommended for anyone who habitually orders more sushi than they can eat because they love the variety. I try something new every time and am never disappointed.

That revolving sushi idea was neat, but we waited 40 minutes and only three dishes were going around and dish covers as seen on pictures! The food wasn’t very fresh, those plates had been spinning for ages. Ordering took another 30 minutes. The food was so-so; I won’t be back. We wanted to try lots of sushi, but saw only three plates the whole time. The tablet ordering system was a nightmare. Everyone seemed to be having the same problem. We left hungry and unsatisfied. A regular sushi place is way better. That revolving thing is a total letdown. The pictures of the sushi rolls we ordered were pretty basic and they overdid the sauce.

Ming’s Revolving Sushi Bar in San Diego is a super fun and tasty spot to hit when you’re craving sushi. The conveyor belt has all kinds of fresh rolls and sides constantly cruising by, and the coolest part is the little mini cars that zoom around the restaurant to deliver special orders. Everything we tried was solid, especially the Ming’s Roll and yakitori skewers. Overall a fun experience!

We got seated pretty quickly on Friday night as we made our reservation the night before. The staff are nice though they need more staff.
Food: 2 stars. Ingredients seem okay especially fish is tasty. However, the nigiri rice part is badly packed so every single time we picked them up, half of the rice would fall off into the soy sauce or even before making it to the sauce. Crunchy rolls and eel rolls are decent. We ordered from the iPad a serving of gyoza but when we were all full, the order never arrived.
Service: 3 stars. The structure of the place is a little messy as they don’t have enough staff and rely too much on the robots/transports. The staff kept having to run from one table to another to help out. Sometimes they forget what you asked for. You have to call them over for ginger and wasabi (which is a little odd for me since it is a sushi restaurant). They were able to cancel the gyoza order that we never received.
Price: a little steep for the quality of food and service.

We order dinner through Grub Hub a total of 4 items. We were missing two of the items and only one of the items we received was correct. We called the restaurant and were not much help, they wanted us to pick them up simce the driver forgot them. I paid for delivery not for pick up. Will kot be orderimg from those place again.

Pleasantly surprised by this restaurant! They are recently opened and seem to be getting in the swing of things now! Plenty of sushi on conveyor when we went on a Friday night. Ordering tablet was pretty glitchy, but we managed to figure it out and food came within an acceptable time frame.
Sushi was delicious and they had many options to choose from! Will definitely be going again!

The only thing I had an issue with is that the tablet you order from doesn’t have details on the rolls as far as the ingredients used, so no way to know or make adjustments for food sensitivities

Some of the nigiri’s that I got were good and some were fishy and tasted horrible. The quality control needs to looked at for-sure. I would still wait at kura over this place any day. Think this place is also more expensive than kura which also doesn’t make sense considering its not as good. Other than that it was decent
