I got the surf and turf for dinner and it was delicious. I ate here 3 times while on a scuba trip. Prices are a little high but considering Cozumel is an island quality steaks are shipped here. It’s open air dining so mosquitoes are a little annoying, but the food is pretty good!

OMG the food! We are staying about 1 block away and went tonight “just for a couple burgers” and ended up with a bowl of guacamole, a few beers, a pinacolada, burgers(wow!), key lime pie and THEN our server brings over 2 complimentary shots that tasted like heaven wow creamy rum shots?! So now my wife is walking me around the block a few times to help digest. There is no sign out front, its all word of mouth, easy to walk past. Look for the half door open amd check it out. Warning: if you want lobster or steak the host suggested calling ahead to reserve and give them time to prepare it for you. They are very fussy about their food here. Psst spread the word. Great spot. Very modern clean trendy interior. Upstairs rooftop bar with a broad alcohol selection. Got a couple of great (properly cooked) steaks, sides, salad, and 4-drinks for $100 with tip. 10/10 coming back for cocktails and appetizers.

I almost don’t want to write this for fear I won’t always be able to get a spot at Mingo’s, but in the two months I was on Cozumel, I ate at Mingo’s 4 times a week. It’s out of the world delicious. The staff is so amazing. And the owners are the most lovely people in the world. I ate a ribeye and backed potato almost every night but also ate the mushroom burger. They do an amazing job of cooking to perfection, and their meats are high-quality. Can’t rave enough about Mingos’.

From hero to zero. My wife and I walked by on a Friday evening and decided to give it a try. The steak was grilled on an open pit. Wonderful. Service was good. Drinks were good. Decided we would come back on Monday so made a reservation. Showed up for reservations and there was no record of it. No big deal as they were able to accommodate. Last time ordered the cowboy and it was so good that I went for the porterhouse this time and my wife, even though she was happy with her chicken burger the last time, opted for the Filet. Man what a complete disappointment. The food was served within 4 minutes of our ordering it. Porterhouse medium rare and a Fillet medium. The meat while done correctly was barely warm and the baked potatoes were luke warm at best. What a disappointment. Our steaks were cooked and held earlier in the day. I hope. Worse yet yesterday. Who knows? We complained. Heffe argued that the sour cream cooled off the foil wrapped potatoes. And mumbled something about having to precook the steaks because the weather. We tried to buy us off with a free piece of lemon pie. The drinks were good and i always feel bad for the wait staff that did a great job for both our visits. We won’t be back. If you do decide to give them a try, ask if your steak will be cooked to order before ordering. Also. When we walked in we noticed that the coals were cold on the grill. That should have been a clue.

Best steaks on the island!!! Great atmosphere a great hospitality and service!!! Highly recommend the fish tacos as well as the ribeye and Filet.. corn on the cob was excellent!

We have been to Minho’s for steak and have enjoyed! Tonight we choose the burger and it did not meet our expectations at all. Thin, dry, seasoned and not tasty. Grilled onion was the end of the onion where the roots come out, inedible. Onion rings were tasty last year, batter dipped and deep fried. This year they tasted like they were from Sams same with the French fries.
Service was fine as is the atmosphere, won’t be back for a burger.
Filet had to be sent back three times to get it to well done.

Absolutely one of the best flavored burgers that I have tasted. If you like that woodsy-smoky flavor, perfectly salted and seasoned, then don’t miss Mingo’s! The fries were super hot and fresh, cooked in his outdoor kitchen. The setting is very intimate and perfect for a date. The music is not too loud and very chill. The sweetest, most polite dog will greet you as you dine. The prices are very affordable. He serves beer as well.
There is no sign in front so it is important that you look for the door and the lights.

Delicious food. We have been disappointed with the tourist driven restaurants….finally good food at a fair price. We’ll gladly pay for amazing food! Great service. The margarita was good but the mojito was the best! We came here with our four boys under 10. The burgers were as big as their sweet little faces. The tuna steak was perfect.
