EDIT: I was wrong on which dish this was. So it was the Sweet & Sour Chicken, not General Tso. SO I don’t reccommend the Sweet & Sour Chicken- it was TERRIBLE. Little doughy bite of breading with a small amount of chicken. While the other dishes were fine, I was super disappointed in this one.

So. The food came out fast. That shoulda been my first warning. The rice smells…odd. Gross odd. The bourbon chicken, the sauce is good. The chicken is overcooked. Consistency is like it was hard frozen then cooked in the pan.

Ordered pickup Oct 5th at 6pm. Charged $32, I was not satisfied with my order.
Sweet n sour chicken with beef fried rice; the chicken was chewy on the outside, tough on the inside and not crunchy at all, supposedly fried. The rice was not fried at all, just mushy.
Chicken on a stick; meat looked appetizing, coated in panko breadcrumbs, was nice and crunchy looking but, the meat was tough and hard to remove from the stick, tiny strips of wood came off with my chicken.
Crab Rangoon; was the best thing out of all this food. Crunchy on the outside, creamy on the inside, delicious.
All in all, I will not be going back here. You would think at that time they’d be busy and the food would be fresh. Everything except the Rangoon was obviously refried, as in re-cooked old food. You can see in the picture the peas are shriveled, and the rice looks gummy. This usually only happens when you refrigerate fried rice. When you reheat it they shrivel and the rice gets gummy from the steam. They tried to cover the flavor/texture issue with soy sauce. I was really hoping to find a new Chinese restaurant since Fortune House had to close.
If they could actually make the food fresh, that would be awesome.

Orange chicken lunch special with pork fried rice. Choice of crab Rangoon, spring roll or soup. Affordable. Looks spicy but it’s not. Upcharge for fried rice with chicken or pork…. Probably not worth the upcharge.

Hunan pork lunch special has a little kick to it.

I would eat here again.

Wow amazing place with big flavors. I had the pad Thai Wich was awesome. My daughter had beef n broccoli Wich was perfecty cooked.
The shrimp and lobster sause was great my wife says. Egg rolls also great. The staff was very friendly and helpful. This is a local family Owned buesness which I love supporting. Thanks for opening a better than most Oriental spot close to home. A definite plus for Hendersonville.

Terrible flavor on both meals we had. The fried rice wasTERRIBLE!
The vegetables were ok but had a weird flavor. Crab Rangoon was decent but to hard on the edges.
Needless to say we won’t go back.
China cottage is the best in hendersonville.

Bad tasting fried rice included to fill most of the container and very little of the main dish. Weird tasting congealed egg drop soup.

I have been a customer of Mings since he owned Peking House. Having spent a number of years around Asian cultures, Mings has always been a favorite of mine. I’ve not had anything I didn’t like. The range is good, from mild flavors such as the chow mein to spicy. Well balanced flavors and perhaps not always overly spiced “American” chinese that many are used to. Fried Dumplings, WonTon Soup, Hot and Sour Soup, great Spring Rolls, hunan, mandarin and szechuan.

The rice has tasted soapy the past few times we’ve gotten food. Google search says a soapy taste means the rice cooker isn’t cleaned adequately. We won’t be ordering again.
