We were a large group of 8 who couldn’t reach our reserved restaurant due to icy roads, so we ended up at the Mineshaft Bar & Grill.

Saw this restaurant in google maps, good looked good and it was indeed delicious. Service is great, you don’t have to ask for refills as the waiter is ready to serve you more, will come again and would recommend anyone to come and enjoy the fresh food, options for gluten free and healthy options as well. The parking in this snowy weather is clear of snow. Should have an easy way in and out. WiFi is available.

A surprisingly great meal. My husband had the Cuban and I had the chicken and dumplings. Everything was prepared well and very enjoyable. Service was out standing. .

We waited over 30 minutes for our order only to learn that all the orders in the small dining area had never been delivered to the kitchen. How does that happen?? So we had to wait another 15 minutes for our entree. No compensation was given to us, plus we were charged a fee for splitting an entree without being told of the fee beforehand. If we lived in this area, we would never visit this restaurant again, but since we were just passing through we gladly know this is not an option.

Ordered breakfast to go–the southwest eggs benedict, which was really good (we only wish there was more egg with it), which came with a SOLID portion of really good potatoes, and a delicious coffee cake. Helpful staff, too. Maybe not the coziest place to sit in compared to the lodge nearby–I recommend to-go.

Food was really good. Service was mediocre. Our server disappeared for awhile and it took a really long time to get our bill. We weren’t offered refills until after we had finished eating. I guess when the gratuity is automatically added, service can be lacking.

Excellent food and menu. Delicious signature cocktails as well. We had dinner on a fairly busy Saturday night and the service was phenomenal. I would recommend visiting the Mineshaft when staying at Tamaron or nearby.

My husband and I were staying at Tamarron and decided to have a late lunch here. When we walked in 2 servers were having a discussion about their work schedules and completely ignored us. The bartender acknowledged us and sat us in a friendly manner. One of the servers that ignored us wind up being our server and it continued to go downhill from there. We ordered wings as an appetizer and a steak salad and sandwich as our main course. Everything came out at one time. We had to ask for silverware and water refills and received nothing but an attitude the whole time. If you demand to put gratuity on the check, then you darn should make sure you have servers up that are friendly and can remember to do the basics like bring silverware and refill water! Service was today between 2:30-3:30.

I was surprised to see such negative reviews, as we had a perfect experience. Get the artichoke dip!

Absolute terrible service. We are staying at Tamarron and my husband and I went. Took 35 minutes to get drinks. Waitress barely came to table. We thought it was just us and then two other couples we know went on two other occasions in the last two days and both times they also couldn’t get waited on. Food was good. Service was terrible. The worst part is they put gratuity on your check immediately so waitress has no need to try to do a good service. She gets an automatic tip.

Unbelievably poor experience. Walking in, we were immediately underwhelmed by the atmosphere. We waited over an hour for our food. It was not busy at lunch. The food was fine but the wait killed it. And we had kids at the table – they split what was ready, bringing one tray of food out first and then bringing the rest out 10 min later (meaning one kid had their food and one kid didn’t. Not fun.) The worst part though – a manger never came out to apologize or take care of us, and they comped nothing on the bill. Horrible. Drive the 20 minutes into Durango and you’ll still eat faster and better than you would here.
