Honestly, with not many other options nearby, this place definitely does the trick. When we arrived, the line was pretty much out the door, however they were very fast. I was impressed with how quickly we got our order. We ordered a flat white with oat milk and it actually tasted really great. In total we got two drinks, two breakfast sandwiches, and two slices of cake, and the total came to $52.44.
One thing they could improve is the table arrangement. There’s room for at least four more tables inside, and the long communal table takes up a lot of space. Reworking the layout would make a big difference, especially when it’s busy.
If you’re in the area, I would definitely give it a shot and grab a drink and some food for a pit stop. It’s a solid stop when you need something convenient and reliable.

We stopped by Miners Cafe as two couples and absolutely loved it! The place has a cozy, welcoming vibe. We had a couple of beers, coffee, and sandwiches — everything was fresh and tasty. Their famous blueberry pie with ice cream totally lived up to the hype — a perfect sweet finish! Definitely worth the visit.

Miner’s Cafe enjoys the monopoly of being the only cafe/ restaurant in the 100 km area around Abraham Lake. Having said that, it does not disappoint!
Not too small, charming and very well maintained (including the washrooms). Good options of sandwiches, rolls and desserts along with hot beverages including very fancy looking hot chocolate.
Staff is friendly and professional and service was fast.
The sandwiches and rolls were good and fresh and bread pudding we tried was delicious.
Recommend stopping here when in the area.

We arrived near 2pm Feb 7th. By time we got to the counter there were no seats left. We bought a frozen pie to cook at home. Will definitely support this business again and again. Caribbean pie prices are what Nordegg charges. Fun little fact. 9.50 a slice, we opted for the whole pie at $29.00. Don’t hesitate, if you’re out for a treat, it’s well worth it.

We spent a night at Roamer’s Nook and we had a wonderful breakfast here. Great and friendly staff. We also had a free pie from spinner. We ordered the egg salad and turkey sandwich and the ingredient are really fresh. The chicken soup is the best and is a must order item! Music here is also great and chill ! I can spend few hours here. Highly recommended if you come to Nordegg and Abraham lake!

Conveniently located just off the highway and before the mountains, Miners Cafe was a spot that I had on my “must-try” lists because of other bikers recommendations. It did not disappoint one bit!
I had the turkey pesto sandwich for lunch, which was SO good. Cannot speak enough about how good that sandwich was. Followed up with a slice of apple pie and cookies and creme ice cream. The only thing I would have wanted was the pie to be warmed up but I didn’t think to ask. (Next time!)
Highly recommend to anyone looking into a place to stop or wanting to try a nice piece of pie!

Miners’ Cafe is a must stop for us whenever we’re in the Nordegg area. Their coffee and breakfast items were ok but nothing special. However, their pies and cinnamon twist are excellent and my 5 star rating is for those. We always buy a couple of frozen pies to take on our trip home to enjoy later. Very good service with nice staff. Lots of free parking.

We had two sandwiches and tried both soups from that day, they were all great!
The service is a little slower, so don’t go expecting to be in and out! They make everything fresh to order and it’s super delicious!

Rode out to Miners’ Cafe for some pie a la mode, but also ended up getting their turkey sandwich. Food is amazing! All freshly made with a lot of care. The place is very busy, but they push through customers relatively quickly. You order then find a seat as you will get a number for thr table. We waited about 15 min for all the food to arrive, which isn’t any different than many other places, but impressive with the volume of people that were there in comparison to the staff. Staff were very knowledgeable on the menu and super friendly. Overall, highly recommended when passing through Nordegg!
