While running errands in southwest Missouri today, I had the opportunity to stop at Miner Bill’s Pizza in Granby, Missouri, and I’m really glad I did.
Upon walking into the rustic building, I was warmly greeted by Beth, who I later learned is the owner. She took the time to explain the menu, highlight their most popular pizzas, and walk me through the options, which was genuinely appreciated.
After a little debate, I decided on the Motherlode, the Conglomerate, and the Crabapple Mine Pizza, opting for the half-pizza option. Beth let me know it would be about a 35-minute wait, so I stepped out to run a few errands around town. When I returned, I only waited a couple of minutes before being seated and served.
The first thing that stood out to me was how rustic and handmade these pizzas looked. They aren’t perfectly round or traditionally hand-tossed, but you can immediately tell everything is made by hand. The pizzas were generously topped and very reasonably priced for what you get.
I started with the Motherlode, which is similar to a supreme-style pizza loaded with toppings. Everything was well balanced, cooked nicely, and the crust had just a slight char on the bottom. The dough was a little on the tougher side, which I personally enjoyed and appreciated.
Next was the Conglomerate, a meat-lover-style pizza, and it did not disappoint. It was heavily topped, flavorful, and very satisfying.
Finally, I tried the Crabapple Mine Pizza, something I’ve never had before. I was pleasantly surprised by how well the apple, caramel sauce, and cinnamon worked together. It was excellent and I can absolutely see why it’s one of their top sellers.
While chatting with Beth, I learned they’ve been open for several years and also offer wings. She also spoke proudly about their family-recipe brownies, which I would encourage you to try as well.
Overall, I was very pleased with my experience. This is a place I would absolutely return to. It’s truly an experience, and quite honestly, I’ve never had a pizza quite like this before. Highly recommended.

2 days ago tried to call to order, no one ever picked up. Tonight, Sat. I tried calling and same. I thought they are probably busy and saw they had online ordering so I used that. It said it would take 40-50 minutes for delivery, fine. I waited 1 hour and when I went to call them, a message popped up that it was cancelled. No explanation, just cancelled. I can’t drive, had no way of getting food today so it was going to be my meal. Tried calling to find out why and no one picked up, as usual. Because they waited an entire hour, didn’t even bother to call me, I had no time to order from Simple Simons. Guess I go without food. Thanks.

Love the old mining theme decor, and is a wonderful place to gather with som friends. Definitely going to make it a regular thing. Our pizzas were just absolutely perfect, we really enjoyed the homeade crust and the Dyno-Stix (cheese bread sticks) are a Definite must try.

The restaurant is an excellent place to get a pizza, pasta, or wings. I highly recommend their pigs(brownies) and their Motherlode pizza. They even have some of the town history in their shop. All the names of menu items are based on mining terms or other local things.
