My coworkers got nanban chicken plate, while I got ton katsu plate. For the amount of food to cost. It’s worth it here. My layered ton katsu was tendered, savory, and fried into 5 pieces easy to eat. The nanban chicken looked good, I’ll try it next time, my coworkers said it’s delicious and they would not have finished it if it wasn’t…lol
It’s my first time here, but my parents have eaten here several times and recommend this place to me. I finally listen and ordered from here. I’ll definitely come back.
The food was great and it is now a solid new lunch spot for us. I ordered the teriyaki chicken plate. The sauce was on the sweeter side (which I definitely prefer) and cooked well. It came with yummy white rice and veggies on the side.
My husband tried the hamburger steak plate and loved the savory sauce!
Atmosphere is very family friendly—the owner and his wife are so kind and welcoming. The place definitely excelled at blending both Japanese home cooking and local flavors. Would visit again!
Note: recommend parking across the street at Longs because there is very limited parking outside the restaurant.
Worth it!! Good price, good quality, great taste, friendly staffs. This becomes one of my favourite restaurant. Definitely will come back.

You need to keep the salmon skin and fry the salmon skin side down. Your salmon looks boiled, but it needs a crust of sorts.
Food is good and all workers are so friendly.
And also price is not crazy. I want to come back again!
Sides:
The house made pickles with is super good (not sweet, but refreshingly acidic).
The potato salad is on the dense side – I think has Japanese pickles inside which is unique and adds some fun bursts of flavor.
Salad is topped with Japanese style shoyu dressing with grated onions. Has a lot of flavor – almost like a dipping sauce.
The hamburger steak is also good!
