We were very excited to go to Mimmo’s as we had heard some great things about it. Overall I was underwhelmed. The pizza did not have enough sauce or cheese and this deficit left it a little flavorless. My nephew’s spaghetti and meatballs was a generous portion, but there were only two small meatballs included. The bread and oil brought to the table was the best thing about the meal. My mom’s side salad included enormous slices of cucumbers and Roma tomatoes that left it a little unappetizing. She left them on her plate. All in all we were expecting a better experience, but it wasn’t all bad. I have a feeling that pizza might not be a specialty and that meals might be better. I’m not sure I would return to see however.

Took my wife there today for her birthday. Not our first time and definitely will not be our last! Food is absolutely delicious! I had Mimmo’s special hamburger (wow) and my wife had Shrimp Alfredo (Yum Yum) . Then homemade strawberry cake.

Delicious eggplant parmigiana, Italian margarita’s and excellent service by Alex. Very nice atmosphere and of course the homemade bread and Mimmo’s own dipping oil is always good! They also have a fire bricked oven for their pizza that cooks a very nice thin crust! I highly recommend!

The calzone in my opinion is worth trying, I still can taste the freshness of the tomatoes…. It’s not your regular Italian restaurant, this restaurant is set in a small town and has that small town feel, but comes with big time taste. It is easily better than any chain restaurant that you could name. If you’re passing through it is worth stopping by and trying.

What a gem hidden in Quitman! I’ve been several times, and every time was amazing. They make this wonderful garlic infused olive oil to dip their fresh bread in. The food is truly authentic Italian cuisine, I can imagine the chef using old recipes handed down in his family. It’s in a dry county so unfortunately you can’t enjoy a nice glass of robust red wine with your meal, and it’s a little bit of a drive, but I promise it is worth it!

First let me say that the bread is wonderful and the sauce is some of the best I’ve ever had (and since I have lived near some of the best Italian restaurants in this country, I’ve had wonderful sauces and homemade breads.) Unfortunately, that’s about all I can say for the food.
I had the Veal Parm. It was served on a bed of naked angel hair! First of all you never serve a fine cut pasta like angel hair with a full-bodied sauce. Secondly the veal was served on top of the naked pasta with the sauce over the veal! That means your veal has a lot of sauce, but your pasta has none. My husband had the lasagna and said that his pasta was overcooked. The salads had more shaved carrot then mixed greens. The house made dressings we’re pretty good but I’ve had better.
With all this said, this is definitely the best Italian restaurant in the area. Just don’t go expecting world-class food or you will be disappointed as I was.

Great owner, great service, and great food. You will have a hard time finding better Italian food without driving at least three to four hours away. We all got lucky when Mimmo landed down here.

A little place kind of out of the way. My sister in law recommended. We took her there for dinner. The food was wonderful, the house made salad dressing was delicious!!! The service was awesome. The restaurant was very clean!!!!
