Owner Mimmo La Innusa’s menu is filled with dishes that have been passed down through generations in his Sicilian family. Known for fabulous Italian food, impeccable service and family hospitality, Mimmo’s has become a favorite on the Emerald Coast. Mimmo’s is proud to now have two locations, one in Destin and a new sister restaurant on Scenic Highway 30A in Santa Rosa Beach. Mimmo’s is open seven days a week, from 11am to 10pm on weekdays and from 5pm to 10pm on weekends.

A Reliable Gem in the Area – Exceptional Pizzas and Standout Gnocchi
Having visited this spot twice now—once for an alfresco dinner and once indoors—it’s clear why they are constantly busy. The atmosphere is vibrant and welcoming for families, and the service remains attentive even under the pressure of a full house.
The Highlights: The Gnocchi Genova is a masterclass in rich flavors; the pistachio sauce paired with creamy burrata is heavy but undeniably indulgent. Their Pizza Rustica is equally impressive—light, airy dough with perfectly caramelized onions (though I’d recommend skipping the chicken to let the flavors shine).
On our second visit, the Linguine Frutti di Mare with crushed tomatoes was a standout—fresh, balanced, and high-quality. Pistachio pizza must have.
The Critique: While the Chicken Parmigiana and Piccata were technically well-executed on the second visit, the kitchen leans toward a very conservative seasoning profile. We found ourselves needing to add salt and pepper to bring the flavors to life. Additionally, while the Alfredo on visit one was a bit underwhelming, the kitchen showed much better protein consistency during the second, less-congested visit.
Overall, this is a top-tier choice for group celebrations.
I’ll definitely be back for the pizza.

Mimmo’s has a great atmosphere and the food was definitely good… pasta was fresh and full of flavor, easily a 4-star experience on that alone. The only downside was the service. From the start we felt rushed, as if the server was more focused on flipping tables than making us feel welcome. He wasn’t very engaging, which took away from the overall experience.
That said, I would definitely give Mimmo’s another try because the food itself was worth it, I’d just hope for a different server next time.

This is an excellent spot on 30A. My wife and I really enjoyed the food and left extremely full. The drinks were great also. Have fun with parking, there are not a lot of spots for this great spot to try.

Exactly a year ago this week I was at Mimmo’s 30A Ristorante Italiano and it still stands out as one of the true highlights of my entire 30A trip. Some meals fade after a few days, but this one stuck with me all year. From the moment we sat down, everything felt warm, authentic, and genuinely Italian. The pasta was fresh and perfectly cooked, the sauces were rich without being heavy, and every dish tasted like it was made with real care and quality ingredients.
It was one of those dinners where every person at the table kept saying wow after each bite. The atmosphere was cozy and inviting, the service was attentive and friendly without rushing us, and the whole experience felt special in the best way. It was comfort food done right but still elevated enough to feel like a memorable vacation meal.
If you are anywhere near 30A, I would absolutely recommend Mimmo’s. It was one of the best meals of the trip, and I would go back in a heartbeat next time I’m down. Already looking forward to returning.

I’m obsessed with this place! The Italian food was delicious and the service was amazing. We were a large party and the server had no issue handling all of us. His recommendation was on point from entrees to drinks. If you’re on vacation here I would recommend!

I would honestly give this place 2.5 stars. We had a very underwhelming experience and didn’t feel very welcomed/taken care of. Starting off with parking, there is barely any parking in the restaurant lot and the lot next door is limited to certain shops. It was very hard to find parking close by. The check in process was a mess and there was a line out the door. The hostesses were okay and I could tell that they were frazzled/disorganized. We were escorted outside to the Patio and we were seated in an open area (no cover.) It was sprinkling very lightly at the beginning of dinner but we could tell a storm was coming in. After we received our drinks, it started to rain harder. We couldn’t find our server and when we asked if we could move the table, there was no sense of urgency and our appetizers were getting wet. It was annoying and we felt ignored. They finally moved us in which my partner had to help our server move the table and us girls had to move the chairs. It was disappointing as we were nicely dressed and we had to move our own furniture LOL. After we moved, we were under the roof and they closed the shades halfway down. We received our entrees and it was bland, I had to add a lot of salt & pepper. Towards the end of the meal, it started to POUR and they finally put the shades down all the way. However, the rain was seeping through and we were getting wet. We flagged down our server and paid as fast as we could so we could leave.
Our server was nice and he was friendly but we didn’t feel like a priority. We didn’t feel welcomed by other staff. When we walked in, as our hostess escorted us to our table, another server walked in through the door when I was walking in and I had to get out of her way because she kept going. They are lacking in customer service, food quality and overall experience for their guests. I think they have a lot to work on.

Mimmo’s 30A is a true gem on the Emerald Coast! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was inviting, and the service was top-tier. But the real standout was the food—Chef Max is nothing short of a culinary artist. The grouper special was an absolute showstopper: perfectly cooked, incredibly fresh, and bursting with flavor. And the chicken parmesan? Hands down the best thing I’ve tasted in 40 years. That’s no exaggeration. You can tell every dish is made with passion and precision. Yum Yum Yum! Our first time here and I’m not sure why it was fantastic. All the dishes and appetizers and Old-fashioned and House Moscato was delicious! Service was spectacular! Atmosphere was very charming and nice! I’m sure that we will return in the next few days for another meal! I highly recommend this place. Things were clean and delicious and timely! 10. Stars form us!
