Alex and Mimi are the kindest folks. They let our great friends hold their post wedding reception at the restaurant. They decorated for us, waited on everyone, even helped us queue up the wedding intro song for them to walk in to. The food was incredible. Alex and Mimi are now part of the family! Highly recommend them for food, parties and genuine great service.

We had Mimi’s Curry Special (chicken shrimp pineapple), chicken satay, beef salad, pad thai. Spicy level 9. Moderate portions. Everything was great. We were blown away. Totally enjoyed the food. Can’t wait to go back and try the other dishes.

Great hole-in-the-wall Thai restaurant in Oak Parks! Delicious crab rangoon, chicken skewers, and curry Decent fried rice as well. Portions are large. Good and attentive service, but can be a bit slow if the restaurant is full. Still worth the wait!!

I convinced several other friends to try the restaurant out and now they are making several trips there to enjoy the food. My favorite dishes are the Pad Thai noodles with chicken # 4 in heat, fried rice, yellow curry, crab rangoon, mix vegetables and Po-tak soup. You will receive a generous portion of food for a very reasonable price. The place is clean and I got to personally meet Mimi.

Came here after getting picked up from the airport. The pad Thai and mango chicken were superb! The chicken dumplings and coconut shrimp were phenomenal!! Mimi and her husband Alex are amazing people and took such good care of us! We will be back for more amazing food and service soon!

I saw this place when I googled “yellow curry.” I saw it was smaller & cute. I initially saw a negative review about the coconut shrimp, however, the shrimp actually looked really appetizing. I decided to give this place a try. When I first walked in, there were about three different people working & all three were so kind. I spoke with (who I think is the manager) Alex. He was very personable. & the woman who waited on me was just as personable, she showed me what she used to make her yellow curry. The service was amazing.
The food was also really good. I often have a hard time finding yellow curry that actually has some spice to it. I ordered the coconut shrimp, fresh spring rolls & yellow curry. All three were delicious. The curry was so flavorful & spicy. My eyes were definitely bigger than my stomach. I had leftovers, the portions were big so you get your moneys worth. 10/10. I’ll definitely be eating this place again☺️

This place has come a long way—like the culinary version of a glow-up montage. The food presentation? It keeps leveling up like it’s got something to prove. The vibe of the restaurant is also slowly transforming—each time I visit, it looks a little more Instagram-worthy.
Best part? The food has always been consistent. No weird surprises, no “what happened today?” moments. And it actually feels fairly priced—rare these days when a side of fries can cost more than therapy.
Would I come back? Already planning my next cheat day here. Keep it up, y’all!

Great place and very friendly staff! All the food we tried was delicious, it took a little longer than usual but it’s probably because everything is prepared fresh. The crab rangoons and mango orange chicken were my favorite.
The entrance was a little hard to find but google maps got it right, just park on the other side of the road

I was next door to this place and could smell the food from another restaurant. I walked in met the owner and his wife. And let me tell you she makes everything by hand and it is literally one of the best thai food restaurants I have ever ate at and I’ve been to hundreds. Stop by check them out and believe me when I say delicious curry is there.

Just ate here, and it was the Best Thai food I’ve had in a LONG time. So Good! Got Chicken Satay and tofu fresh rolls to start, and the peanut sauce served with both is just next level. I got Hot Basil, and it was incredibly tasty. The Lad nar for my wife was often snitched by me, and it was just great.
If you want awesome Thai food, Mimi’s is the place you want to go.
