What a delightful experience my mom and I had at Mimi’s Tea Cottage! The service was excellent. The tea choices were abundant. The food was exceptional.

We were celebrating my belated birthday, and they brought me the cutest mini cupcake served in a little teacup!

There is another popular tea house that is closer, but Mimi’s is absolutely worth the drive! We can’t wait to go back!

Second time i’ve been here! I always have a nice time going with my mom and grandma So many teas to pick from, I had the “gold rush” tea which was delicious. The pumpkin scone and soup was yummy.

Only note I have is that the apple cinnamon scone did seem to have a slight baking soda taste which i saw mentioned in another review about a scone. Did not take away from the experience, but something to look into.

Overall, a peaceful comforting place to chat and I will be back!☕️

Cute atmosphere, slow service (apparently there was something going on in the kitchen). We were all done with our tea by the time the food came out so we had to request a refill. Lots of yummy tea options. We did the “Ivy” package, so we got tea, 1 scone each, and some mini sandwiches and other desserts. The white chocolate cranberry scone was delicious and I got the spiced plum tea and really enjoyed it. The sandwiches and desserts were decent, but I’d say the best part is the tea and scone, so I recommend doing the package that just comes with those if you’re looking for the most bang for your buck.

A lovely experience! The food, tea, service, and ambiance were all really enjoyable. Our butternut squash soup was nicely seasoned, scones were warm and not stodgy, the tea sandwichs were well seasoned, varied, and definitely made fresh – not soggy or dry bread. We were stuffed by dessert, but really enjoyed the super cute pumpkin whoopie pie! Our server was knowledgeable, friendly and took good care of us. Really nice list of tea options, and all 5 varieties were tried were enjoyed. It’s a nice spot that is elegant, but not too frilly or fussy. They also have a nice collection of tea fripperies and cute stuff for sale, as well as a small bakery case of goodies. We will definitely be back!

I go for afternoon tea at different tea houses a lot, and Mimi’s has the best gluten free tea service I’ve ever experienced!!! I had a reservation with a group, and mentioned when we made the reservation that I was gluten free. Not sure what the experience is like in a different situation, but I am so happy to say that I got to have everything my non-gf friends had at this tea, maybe one or two things were different but they were substituted with equally lovely treats so I didn’t even pay much attention. I was even offered a choice between multiple different scone flavors!! If you are celiac/gf you know that having flavor options is so rare- and my scone was DELICIOUS! The service was also wonderful, all our servers were enthusiastic and warm. I would absolutely recommend visiting Mimi’s to anyone, but especially gluten free people!!

Very cute place- most definitely paying for the experience because the portions of food for the price is wild. A palm side bowl of soup is $5….aka $1 a bite of soup. The egg salad sandwiches had a VERY strong onion flavor. But overall it was very cute and I enjoyed the experience.

Super cute tea shop! The food was tasty and I honestly appreciated the limited food menu so I could focus on the massive tea menu. I also appreciated that they were prepared to try to accommodate allergies if needed. I hope to come back!

My mom had hosted my bridal shower here and we enjoyed every moment of it. The owner even came out to give well wishes and it was such a nice touch. The staff were all so sweet and answered many questions for us that we had throughout the planning period. Day of, the staff helped my guests, made them at home, and helped when needed. The food was amazing. I had so many people come tell me how much they enjoyed the food! And for the non tea drinkers, there was still plenty of other options. We had a great time here and my mom and I couldn’t have wished for a better place to host my bridal shower:)

I really wanted to like this place a lot, it looked so promising . The decor is super cute and definitely photo worthy.
We were a party of 5 crammed into a table for 4 in a corner. There was no room on the table for all the teapots and plates and teacups and food. It was very difficult to maneuver everything. The reservation was booked way in advance so I was hoping we would have had a proper table for our party. We were celebrating a birthday and there was no special detail for a birthday, no candle or anything. Which is fine, we didn’t really ask but we did mention in the reservation.

While we were cramped on the tiny table (one of the chairs was butting out into the walkway with loads of people and staff constantly passing behind ,), they started to clear the table next to ours and to our shock they just started throwing the food and crumbs that were on the table to the floor as they wiped the table to get it ready for the next party.

The food came and for 5 people it was all cramped onto one tiered stand. There was one ounce sized dollop of lemon curd and clotted cream for the 5 of us. The desserts were falling apart from being pile do to the same plate. The deserts were not particularly good. The Apple crumble was underbaked. The snickers candy tasting bar was messy and falling apart.
The scones were good and the sandwiches weren’t bad. Nothing crazy though. I would have liked something with a little more flavor, not something I could easily prepare at home.
The quiche was actually my favorite thing I ate. It was tasty.
The tea selection I also thought was good.

The service was not the best. No one came to check on whether we needed more water or tea. We had to ask for more. And the teapots looked like they had never been scrubbed on the inside. Ever!!!!

We’ve had a lot of other high tea experiences in the area and this one just did not live up to the hype. The restaurant looks super cute and is well decorated but I wish the staff had been more attentive, and the food, particularly the desserts need some major overhauls.

Lastly I visited the bathroom before leaving and the wooden floor was so rotted that the heel from my stiletto shoe fell through the floor and I was temporarily stuck.

Like I said there was so much potential here and I wanted to give this place a better rating but it was not deserved on this particular visit.
