Love Mimi’s Kitchen. Fresh hot made to order food. The pupusas are everythinggg, flavorful and cheesy. The bean, cheese, chicken pupusas are tasty with sauce & cabbage on the side. Their food is made with love, shout out to my sister for bringing me here!

We’ve tried Mimi’s in Carmel before but a year ago in a street fair in Mahopac we found out that the OG is this one, that they are related and we had to come back and try it. We were not disappointed, my oldest son loves pupusas and that’s what he ordered, the guy that took our order was super friendly and helpful. He recommended one chicharrón pupusa to have it with cheese and it was delicious. I had the breakfast burrito that was super crispy on the outside and super filling. My other son had pancakes which are his favorite. Food was great, place was clean, if just kind of weird how it has a mini market on the other side and you have to ask for your coffee order. In the other location you make your own drink which is what I like, I’m very weird about how to make my coffee lol. Anyway, this place was good, wouldn’t mind having it again if I’m in the area.

Get the pupusas. This was my lunch spot when I worked in Mahopac. Wished inflation didn’t affect the pupusas but still worth it. Order a side of queso fresco and curtido.

There isn’t really an atmosphere. That said the food is great highly recommend the tamales best I’ve had so far. Solid refried beans, tacos, and pupusa. Food takes a bit of time to make but thats a good sign just order ahead of time. Love ordering from here

The food was soooo good! Best pupusas I have had in a while. The yucca frita was also really good. Friendly staff. Will definitely be back when in the area.

Best Salvadoran food in the area. We stop by pretty often for pupusas, platters and horchata. Not a lot of space inside for parties bigger than 4 due to I’m being a mini market as well, but nonetheless great stuff.

Came here on a whim after searching for some tamales close to me. I’ve driven by plenty of times wondering what could be inside, but never thought about stopping in. This place doesn’t look like much from outside, but after trying the pupusas and tamales here, I am hooked. Not only is the food great, but the owners are absolutely wonderful people. They were so excited to hear our feedback about the food, even after five years of business at this location, that means one thing, these people care.

Prices are low, you could leave here stuffed to the brim for $10 easily.

Cannot wait to try the entrees from Mimi’s. I surely won’t be eating at any other Latin restaurants in Mahopac after trying this food. I promise you, it is that good.

I love that they keep expanding!! Knocked off a star only cause I always happen to get there when they are running out of food. That can be a good and bad thing tho…you know it’s good cause the foods always gone. So tasty!
