I whole heartily would never come here. Dirty, unprofessional. Has the small town vibe with out the hospitality. We found their flyer and decided to travel to try it out. They had an hour left of service. They ran out of eggs and told us they refuse to go next door and get some eggs. Now, yes they are being honest. I have a hard time accepting it. We should be just as important as the first customers in… Imagine how that would make people feel? Probably pretty Important, an welcomed. So it’s just to bad honestly. I fed my kids an they had a decent time. I didn’t eat. Typically I wouldn’t even give them my hard earned money, but my kids were hungry so they half win. Will never venture this way again, and I do not recommend it.

I have eaten at Mimi’s several times since they opened in April of this year and all have been very good. Yesterday I had a spinach and feta cheese omelette and it was perfectly prepared. A nice light brown crust on the outside but eggs were still fluffy on the inside. Generous amounts of fresh spinach and feta but not oozing with it either. On top of that was prompt, friendly and helpful service. Feeling welcome and comfortable in a restaurant are just as important as food quality and value.
As with any new dining business venture, there were hiccups in food availability, quality as well as service as the staff and owners got their legs under them, but Mimi’s has certainly demonstrated its commitment to its customers and to their long-term success in downtown LaGrange. If you haven’t eaten there yet be sure to stop by and if you tried it once earlier this year please give it another go!

I ordered 2 orders of bisket and gravy and one order with 3 eggs over easy and hash browns with each order.
One order had 2 biskets and a fair amount of gravy, the other order had 4 biskets with watered down gravy not even enough fo the biskets, and the over easy eggs were over hard.

Poor quality food. The cook took forever to make our order and then got it wrong. We didn’t have a complicated order. Just french toast, some eggs, and bacon. Left a lot to be desired. We won’t be back again.

New place…thought I’d give it a try for breakfast. I don’t think I will go back! Sausage links burnt, French toast pretty tasteless, coffee ok and then the waitress totaled the bill incorrectly after she incorrectly retotaled it!! I didn’t say anything…thought that could be her tip!
