Such a wonderful restaurant! The food is absolutely delicious and fresh, and the service was warm and attentive. I went with my baby and was so happy to see how kid-friendly the place is — they made us feel very comfortable. The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, perfect to start the day.

So many good things offered on Mimi’s menu. I’ll need to return many times to sample all the things I wanted to try. For breakfast I had the short ribs with hollandaise sauce and poached eggs. Mega Yum. My wife had Pain Perdu With Mixed Berries. The friendly service was as good as the food.

Many reviews say slow service, but we went on Sunday around 11 am (PRIME brunch time), and it was nearly empty? Service was great, the food was delicious, and we had the most wonderful server! We will absolutely be dining here again! The seasonal chorizo omelet was to die for!

We have been Mimi’s fans for about 35 years. Work led us to this location off of N Tatum this morning, and we decided to drop in to this location. What a pleasant time we had! We had a great server. She was prompt and friendly. She took our order, apparently delivered to the cook right away, because it came to us in minutes. We always enjoy their muffins. I almost get the carrot cake muffin, but today, both of us got the special, which was the pineapple upside down muffin. Excellent! So good I forgot to snap a photo before I started eating! The tip is always nicely crusty, and today it was topped with a slice of pineapple. I also had a hot chocolate. Huge cup, and it’s real chocolate!! Very good! My wife had a side of scrambled eggs with cheese, which she said was very good… better than most. We tarried in our booth for quite sometime… no pressure from our server, who came back and chef up on us regularly. Great experience. Sorry for the partially eaten muffin!

Met a long time friend here for breakfast. Not busy, food was great and service even better. For a chain it’s a great restaurant.

The food was about as good as you can hope for from a chain — decent, predictable, and edible. The service, however, was a different story. The hostess radiated either “I’d rather be anywhere else” or “I’ve made peace with hating life,” I’m still not sure which. Our server did keep the drinks filled and the food coming promptly, but when asked about menu items, “I don’t know” is not exactly the gold standard of customer care — especially when dietary restrictions are involved. Bonus points for then looking irritated that the customer dared to care about what they eat.

Our waitress was really nice but the minute we walked into the restaurant it smelled like gas. We decided to give it a chance (maybe they were just boiling eggs?) The ceasar salad was decent but the French dip was the most bland thing I have ever eaten. The plain white hoagie, the roast beef and even the au just tasted as if there was no salt. We even paid extra for the mushrooms and Swiss cheese and couldn’t taste them or even notice any texture difference. Maybe their breakfast is good, otherwise I’m not sure how they manage to stay open.

We hadn’t been to Mimi’s in ages. As we walked in, a couple was leaving and warned us that classy mMimi’s was gone. They said it was more like a diner. We waited for service for coffee for 15 minutes and another 15 to give our order. Food came out and looked great. It was cold. We both agreed we should have listened to that couple and the fact that it was 10:30 am on a Sunday and empty tables.

The stuffed French toast was unbelievable. As soon as you get a taste of the cream cheese, the French toast becomes a whole other beast. The sausages are huge, and flavorful. The French dip is on par with a frozen meal, and at its best it’s mediocre. The steak is flavorless, barley seasoned, and the ajus may as well be amber colored water with a dash of salt. Mimi’s is a mixed bag;caveat emptor!

Stopped for breakfast, first visit. Beautiful decor inside. Pleasant staff, food was very good. Only reason for 4 stars is they were understaffed and so it took a bit to get our coffee when we sat down, and then have our order taken. Thankfully we were in no hurry but it might make us hesitant to go at a busier time. Didn’t see any signs up looking for applicants.
