Phyllis & George Murray (aka Mimi & Papa) are the proud owners of Mimi & Papa’s Gourmet Popcorn. It is the first locally-owned and operated gourmet popcorn and sweet shop serving Leland, NC and the surrounding areas! We are proud to serve award-winning super premium ice cream by Chocolate Shoppe (made in Wisconsin), homemade fudge and delicious gourmet popcorn that we make on site, and so much more! The shop is bright, cheery, and the perfect place to spend some time getting to know others in the community. My fiancé and I tried this place the other night and are huge fans. The popcorn is so good. It tastes so fresh and love the wide array of flavors to choose from. Highly recommend the “Papa’s Magic Mix” for all the Salty/Sweet lovers out there!
We also both got ice cream cones but forgot to take photos. I tried the Pomegranate Swirl, and he got S’more’s, we both got waffle cones (best ones I’ve ever had) and absolutely loved it! Even the flavors we sampled were great, it was so hard to pick one!
Highly recommend this to anyone looking for a little treat, they definitely have something for everyone, and amazing customer service!

My favorite sweet treat stop of all time!! They make every visit an amazing experience.. the ice cream flavors are always changing which I love. The worst part is having to choose because the flavors are all so good!!! I tried a slushie float this time with their seasonal peach ice cream and the Mango flavored slush 10/10 recommend!!

I tired a sample of the banana popcorn too and that was oddly delicious!! Will definitely be getting a bag of that next time!!!

I bought 4 bags of popcorn and loved them all. But what I really want to rave about is the zanzimint ice cream. It is perfection! It’s mint ice cream swirled with their zanzibar ice cream, which is a decadent dark chocolate. Mint ice cream has always been my favorite but I’ve never been able to find one without hard chocolate bits. Zanzimint is exactly what I’ve been searching for!!

We randomly stopped by while in town for a soccer tournament. This was such a nice, cozy, friendly place, that it turned out one of the best part of our trip, despite being a pit stop. Loved it (especially the mango with a kick).

OMG… this is our must-have.. the popcorn: AMAZING FLAVORS!We love that there’s no hard unpopped kernels. The flavors are so unique and delicious.

Omg!! How did I not know bout this place? It’s just down the road from me. Super cute place, delicious ice cream & flavored popcorn. Outdoor seating was a good place to enjoy my Salted Carmel waffle cone. You have to take the kids!!

It’s always a pleasure to see the family & staff there. They’re friendly and super helpful. Every flavor ice cream I’ve had is absolutely fantastic (coffee was next level creamy – definitely recommend). Their bagged flavored popcorn & fresh popped popcorn are so delicious I felt nostalgic. This little store is one of the few places nearby who value their products & customers.
