Reviews
The Laveen salad was a pleasant surprise—crisp, well-balanced, and refreshing without feeling like an afterthought. It complemented the meal beautifully and showed the same attention to detail as the rest of the menu.
The real standout, though, was the lasagna bolognese. Rich, hearty, and layered with deep, comforting flavors, it felt like true Italian comfort food. Each bite was satisfying without being heavy, the kind of dish that reminds you why classics exist for a reason.
Overall, Mimi Al Forno delivers honest, well-executed food in a welcoming setting. It’s the kind of neighborhood spot you’re happy to have close by—and one you’ll definitely want to return to.
We’ve always ordered rigatoni with white sauce and this time asked to add chicken somehow ended up with linguine and chicken and no white sauce.
Not sure at what point in our phone order it got mixed up but after having family bring it back home there was definitely an issue. After speaking with the manager (Leonardo) about the mistake and instead of simple apologizing or listening to the issue it somehow was our fault for mixing up the orders. Started to say that the pasta we ordered isn’t even available for dinner (we’ve ordered this before)
We tried to explain there is no white sauce at all and you can tell there was minimal effort in making a simple pasta dish which is inexcusable for a 20 dollar pasta dish
After saying this is definitely review worthy the manager proceeded to say go ahead and leave a 1 star it doesn’t matter to me, that explains the customer care you will be getting. Photo of the pasta shows the effort.
Used to love Mimi’s but this is the third time in row there has been an issue and if the manager said they don’t care about reviews you can imagine future service.
