I celebrated my birthday at MIMI’s Brasserie & Speakeasy, and I honestly couldn’t have chosen a better place. From the moment you walk in, the ambiance is stunning—elegant, intimate, and full of character. The décor is incredible, from the chandeliers to the rich colors and thoughtful details throughout the entire space.
One of the highlights is the hidden speakeasy room, which takes the experience to another level. The speakeasy bartender, Lore, is absolutely phenomenal. She truly gets to know you, your preferences, and your mood, and then creates the perfect cocktail just for you. You can ask for anything, and she will make it flawlessly. She alone is reason enough to come back.
Our server, Timothy, was outstanding—professional, attentive, warm, and made sure everything flowed perfectly throughout the night. You feel genuinely cared for here, not rushed or overlooked.
A huge credit goes to the owner, Eddie, who has clearly done an amazing job curating not only an exceptional staff but also designing and decorating the entire restaurant. Every corner feels intentional, stylish, and inviting. You can tell passion and pride went into building this place.
The food and cocktails were excellent, beautifully presented, and delicious. Everything—from service to atmosphere to drinks—felt special and celebratory.

My wife and I dined here last night with another couple, and the experience was excellent from start to finish. The service was impeccable—our server, Tim, was outstanding, and every staff member who delivered food and drinks was equally attentive and professional. The bartender and server in the speakeasy were just as impressive.
We ordered sandwiches, while our friends shared a charcuterie board; every dish was exceptional. The French fries deserve special mention—they were quite possibly the best I’ve ever had. The ambiance is warm and inviting, and the hidden speakeasy adds a memorable, intriguing touch.

We discovered Mimi’s after landing late at SRQ. What a wonderful find. From the warm, welcoming and romantic atmosphere to the food and staff, Mimi’s Speak Easy is fantastic! The food is exceptionally delicious; we ordered the smoked salmon which is cured on site, chicken liver pate, beet and spinach salad, and salmon for dinner. The layers of flavors and welcoming hospitality will be remembered fondly. Thankfully we left room for dessert.

Bethany gave us excellent wine pairings with our food, which made the whole experience feel thoughtful and elevated. I had the pleasure of experiencing the amazing vibe at Mimi’s. From the moment you walk in you feel warm and welcome. The staff were so friendly and knowledgeable about the food and cocktails. Matt, our bartender made excellent recommendations. We enjoyed the Happy Hour Charcuterie (great deal), Caesar Salad (they don’t skimp on the anchovies – loved it) and Mimi’s Slider (this slider is amazing 10/10). The owner was friendly and kind – thanking us for being there. Mimi’s is a gem and I can’t wait to take my family and friends there!

The attention to detail, from the decor, to the eclectic menu items, to the impeccable service (thank you Tomothy), to the discreet speakeasy in the back – is astonishing. My girlfriend took me here for a belated birthday dinner and we never even got around to ordering the entrees as we were full with the happy hour James River oysters, and a beautifully presented charcuterie board with one of my favorites, chicken liver pate. Afterwards we were ushered into the Speakeasy in the back, coolest vibe in Florida. I can’t say enough about this place. We will be regulars.

It was so fun going here opening night! We were a group of 5 so we got to try a lot of things. I LOVE that this restaurant menu is so diverse and had so many interesting creations! We tried a plethora of items from their charcuterie board, which were all great, but the beet cured salmon was the most unique one. The onion dip is SO thick and amazing! You must try it. The leek tartine was super unique and very savory, a big portion, kind of like a bruschetta. The ham and cheese pithivier was also a great size and it’s like a big stuffed puffed pastry with a great mustard aioli. Could easily be an entree for a person. Two people got the salmon and loved it. The steak frites was cooked perfectly and very tender. I hope this place does well! The atmosphere is awesome and the hidden speakeasy will be so great for happy hours. Everyone in the area should stop by here after work for a drink and a snack, at the very least! Such a great addition to the community!
