At Milner’s Gate, the people matter to us as much as the food does… which is to say that people matter a LOT to us! We’re a family friendly restaurant that has a little bit of something for everyone. Milner’s Gate strives to provide the best in food, service, and atmosphere because we want to ensure that every experience you have here with us is a great one. Since we are in the heart of downtown, we are easy to get to by car or foot. There is plenty of parking available on the street or in the surrounding parking lots!

Milner’s Gate is an awesome local brewery with great food, craft beer, and a full bar. The atmosphere is inviting—plenty of space inside a beautifully renovated older building, plus patio seating if you want to enjoy the outdoors. I ordered a taster flight to sample a range of their beers, and the bartender even hooked me up with an extra sample since I had 6 I wanted to try but the flight only comes with 5. That small gesture really stood out.
The beers were solid across the board, and I paired them with one of their pizzas—absolutely delicious. Service was prompt and friendly the whole time. Even though I came in later on a weeknight and the place was starting to slow down, there was still a nice crowd, which speaks to how popular it is.
I’ll definitely be back to try more of the menu and work my way through the rest of the beers. Thanks for a great experience, Milner’s Gate!

We had a great experience at Milner’s Gate! While the garlic fries were a bit underwhelming, the Brie and Fig burger more than made up for it—absolutely delicious and full of flavor. Our server was very attentive and made sure we had everything we needed throughout the meal. Overall, a nice spot with good service and standout menu items.

Came in late night after a baseball tournament. We called in advance to make sure they were still serving food; apps only & that was great with us!
We came in and quickly seated outside! Such a beautiful patio. We had a GREAT waiter: Devin. We had a few issues with our food orders and he corrected everything and it ended up being a great, enjoyable night out on the patio.
I enjoyed the Idaho Lemonade and the cauliflower wings! My favorite dish here is the sidewinder nachos, so I was bummed to see they moved them to the entree section. But I totally get it! They are big enough to be an entree!
I will def. be back! Great team here! Thanks for being our late night dinner savior!

a place with a really good vibe — the design and overall concept make it quite charming. The service is solid; the staff are attentive and incredibly pet-friendly. The only downside was the flavor: I made the mistake of ordering the pork belly ramen, which I couldn’t eat because it was overwhelmingly sweet. That particular fusion just didn’t work. Aside from that, the beer was excellent.

We reserved a table for a small shower celebration for my sister, and Milner’s Gate did not disappoint. They gave us the entire upstairs floor to ourselves, which was perfect for our lively group, including two toddlers! The space was ideal, the atmosphere was great, and the service was absolutely amazing.
We will definitely be going back and highly recommend reserving them for your next small gathering!

Went for the Valentines Day dinner special. The starting Cheese cigars were very delicious. Great cheese to outer breading. Came with some pickled onions, cherry tomatoes and cucumbers. Then we had a house green salad and wife had their Caesar salad. Both with good portions and the house salad came with carrots, cherry tomatoes, croutons cucumbers and onions. Great salads to have between appetizers and main course meal. Main course was prime rib and 1lb of bbq ribs. Came with pomme dauphines and chose coconut rice and garlic mashed potatoes. Sides were cooked to perfection. Ribs fell off the bone and super tender. Prime rib was seasoned well and cooked as ask with full flavor. Dessert was vanilla bean creme brulee and was delicious and great cap to the night. Everything was perfect. 10/10. Grace was our server and did a great job making us feel welcomed! She was fast with drinks and service with a smile. Made the night even more special with her as our server

Great stop on our road trip. The restaurant was modern and spacious with a variety of chairs and several high tops .Makenna our server was fantastic. She colorfully recommended the beer caramel to go with our cheese curds. We ordered the Brie and fig burgers as well as the hot honey chicken sandwich and everything was delicious classic gastropub fare.
In addition to a great selection of beers, they have a full bar complete with great selection whiskey and other spirits. They had 400 Conejeos Mezscal whis is one of my favorites.
Highly recommended for anyone looking for quality gastropub player with great service.

My husband and I were showing some, out of state, cousins some of the Idaho scenic attractions as they are traveling the US in their RV. We chose Milner’s Gate Brewery for lunch because of the reviews and it did not disappoint. Kassandra was an attentive server. The food was excellent. Please see the attached photos of the food. I have to say that the Classic Cheese Burger that I ordered was not only picture perfect but was delicious as well. The others ordered the Idaho Nachos (using potato wedges), the Cuban Sandwich and the Rachel’s Ruben Sandwich. The food was so delicious!

I brought a friend from out of town to your restaurant on Friday evening and made reservations for 8:30 PM. Unfortunately, we did not leave until 11:00 PM due to significant service issues.
About two hours after being seated and still not receiving our dinner, our server came over and asked where our food was. He then returned shortly after and explained that because another couple upstairs had complained, he forgot to ring our order into the kitchen. As a result, our food had not been prepared. The kitchen then rushed our meals.
While our server was kind, the overall experience was extremely disappointing. No manager came to our table to apologize. The server offered complimentary dessert and drinks, but the drinks were never brought out, and we were still charged for the one drink we had ordered. We also waited additional time for dessert and for boxes to take our meals home.
Waiting two hours due to an order not being entered into the system, without a manager addressing the situation or the meal being comped, was very frustrating especially as I was hosting an out-of-town guest.
I wanted to share this feedback because the experience fell far below expectations, and I hope it can be addressed appropriately.
