A wee bit apprehensive when getting to the door and finding a sign reading, “chef and line cook needed’. But, chicken fried steak, which isn’t easy to find in this region, especially a good one, had my name on it. It was said that the Saturday special at Millwood Junction was pretty great, so that’s what was gonna happen! The decor is perfect for the restaurant, the wood work in the entrance sets the tone. Salad bar is just lettuce, spinach, sliced tomatoes, sliced onion, peas, garbanzo beans, pasta salad, potato salad, parmesan cheese, croutons, sunflower seeds, and assortment of dressings, which does include a yummy blue cheese, so not spectacular or even extensive, and if it is included with meal, not bad, however, not worth an additional $3.50. Chicken fried steak was perfect, great breading, tender beef on a mound of housemade mashed potatoes and cream gravy, sprinkle a little pepper and your chicken fried steak cravings are answered! The accompanying veggies we’re crisp and perfectly proportion. When the sweet tea was brought to one of the other diners with me, told the server, I’m gonna need a lot more, she brought a wine decanter of it to the table, a nice touch. The prices may be a bit surprising for some who haven’t looked before stopping in, but they’re pretty normal for a steak restaurant, special is, $11.50 plus salad, other offering such as steak and prime rib are in the $20’s. Go, take some friends, it’ll be a good time.

Upscale restaurant but come-as-you-are casual dress. Good variety on menu from pricey gourmet specialties to economical home-cooking. I had fish & chips, hubby had blackened catfish, both delicious. Good selection of wines and full bar service. Waitress was friendly and efficient. Good food, good service, good selection.

My husband and I were at this restaurant on August 30. It took a long time to get seated and we finally discovered, on our own, that there was open seating on the patio. We waited so long for a waitress that we saw two parties get up and leave without ordering. We should have too. The seafood buffet was not well stocked and we were still charged full price. Had we known that they weren’t going to restock, we would have ordered from the menu. The food was sparse and average in quality. Keep driving.

The staff was friendly and cool. I had the Chipotle Chicken Sandwich and got the salad bar on the side. The salad bar is not huge but it is great. I was told they make all of their sauces and salads (macaroni, potato, etc) and they were great. Not cheap but not expensive, definitely a good value. Very cozy place too. We sat outside and it was perfect. Thanks to all of the crew there, y’all are doing a fine job.

Most disgusting food I’ve ever had in Colorado. The waitress couldn’t comprehend why I didn’t want to eat the horrible sandwich that I paid for. I said that it tasted old and like the bacon was microwaved (which it was). She just gave me this look as if I was crazy when in reality this restaurant is garbage and anybody that likes it is crazy. The staff is extremely unfriendly and during the two visits I’ve had at this place it has been beyond awful.
I hope that they will shut down sometime in the future to allow for a real restaurant to open in that location.
By the way… This is the only time that I have EVER left less than an 8 dollar tip for a 30 dollar tab… This horrible waitress got 2 bucks for her “efforts”.

We had lunch inside. The Cobb Salad is awesome. My husband had a cheeseburger that he said was delicious. In the summer they have an outdoor Patio and it’s very relaxing. The steak sandwich is also great, sometimes hard to decide which item to get!

Flame Br 97%lean beef burger for 11$!
I was amazed. I’m vegan and this was a cheat day well deserved. This was the softest burger and bun ever. A mashed potato soft meat on a cloud soft almost like cotton candy bun.
Had to put fries on it for texture just because I couldn’t believe meat was this soft. Best food I’ve ever had don’t tell the wife

I usually don’t write bad review but the rating of this restaurant is WAY to high for any measure and it really needs to be corrected so I have it only 1 star to help correct the score. I would never have eaten here if I knew it would be this bad. It seems that it could easily be the best place in town but it just seemed that the management just doesn’t care about it.
Atmosphere: 3 stars
I really like the rustic appearance this restaurant, you could tell that it is a historic part of Mancos. For the most part, the decor is in decent shape but there are a few upgrades that are desperately needed, the worst of which are the bathrooms. Overall, I give the decor and building 3.5 stars just for it’s history. With done upgrades it could easily be 5 star
Service: 1 star
The service was done of the worst I’ve seen for a long time.
– First, there was a nice sign inside that said “wait to be seated” then off to the side there was a white board with specials and said “please seat yourself” on another little sign off to the side. So we wandered around and picked a table.
– The waitress was nice but had little or no training at all. She didn’t know the menu, the water was never refilled, there was no silverware on the table which I got myself, we ordered salad bar but she gave no direction to where it was or if she was bringing plates, etc, etc.
– She never checked up on us to see how everything was.
– She did not ask if we wanted to split the bill

– The food was ok at best but definitely not worth the price, my brother got a baked potato with his meal which had some cheese but no butter or anything to moisten it up, the burgers were decent but a little dry, and the salad bar was fairly fresh but not the best ingredients.
