Service was friendly, and although it was a busy Friday afternoon, the owner still made the time to stop by each table and say hello, and make sure we had everything we needed, and that everything was to our liking. (It was) although i had a club sandwich, which theoretically you can order at any cafe, this club sandwich was in a league of its own. Generous portions (big enough to split) and quality ingredients sets Mills Diner apart from other cafe’s. My Husband enjoyed his burger ‘The Legion of Boom’ and thoroughly enjoy it. We had to grab a cinnamon to split on our way out. The entire experience was delightful, and well worth the 40 minute drive. We will be back!!!

Took a chance and stopped in while out for a Sunday drive. Looks like a traditional cute hole in the wall diner, but WOW on service and the food!! Generous portions, nice blend of flavors. Hubby had the huge Brooklyn Burger with 2 patties, bacon and 2 cheeses. I had the Southwest scramble. I don’t usually care for sausage or gravy on my scramble, but this was pretty amazing! All of the staff were welcoming, friendly and attentive in a good way. We will definitely be back, and will make a point to pass through Rochester. They are only open from 6 am to 2 pm Tues-Sun, so be sure to go early

This was my first time here, and my first time experiencing chicken and waffles. This placed nailed it. Waffle cooked perfectly, chicken fried perfectly, and not covered in thick breading.
I also had a bite of my boyfriend’s biscuits and gravy (which I am normally not a fan of) but this was very well done. Nuanced flavors in the gravy other than the normal salty that I taste anywhere else.
Happy to find this gem with expertly crafted food and pleasant upbeat staff that don’t seem fake happy.

The service was great! And as a fellow waitress I pay attention to customer service a lot when I dine in at other businesses! All the wait staff had warm and kind welcomes and created the atmosphere of a home! Which is very nice!! And their waffles are TO DIE FOR!!! I try waffles all around our area because they’re my favorite and these waffles are by far the best!!! You can count me as a new regular!

Food is really good and huge portions. So much to choose from. Don’t see what you want, just ask. If they have the ingredients, they’ll make it up for for you. Their homemade biscuits are excellent.
Everyone was friendly and Amanda was a doll. Will definately go back!
Update: Well, it’s been about a year since my first visit and it’s even better! When I walk in it always takes me back to the Beehive. The food, people, the noise, and the staff (who are so sweet)! Check it out!
