We had a party of 15 kids tonight and visited the restaurant for dinner. Place was busy but we got seated promptly. They ask you to hang jackets at the entrance which is convenient. Order was taken promptly, server was attentive. Food was good, pizzas were delicious, esp the Margherita and Chefs garden pie. We ordered a variety of desserts and they were all scrumptious! Great place, esp for dine in and large groups.

It was a lovely experience.
Everyone was very kind and attentive. They explained the specials of the day, recommended dishes, drinks, etc.
they constantly asked us if everything was ok, it is evident they care about their customers.
We ordered a pizza and dish of salmon pasta to share. The portions were generous.
We took the house wine and it was also lovely.
Very good experience overall, I highly recommend.

This is a pretty solid Italian American restaurant and seemed the most enticing of the nearby options for us. We visited shortly after opening and were promptly seated. All the people working here were very polite and friendly and the service was great. We had the fried calamari, shrimp scampi, and a veggie pizza. While none of the dishes were mind blowing, they were all pretty tasty and left us full. I appreciate that there’s plenty of seafood and vegetarian options. The prices are a bit on the high side but seem to be the norm in the area.

Exceptional spot and we really enjoyed. Warm and high quality service. Great food and drinks. We have had many carbonara pastas in our lives, but wow – their carbonara special was 10/10 out of this world! It should be a part of the permanent menu. We were practically licking the plate. TIP – Must come early for a table because it gets totally packed. Thanks for a great time!! See you again soon —

Went in without a reservation. Several locals suggested Millrock as we were about and around town. Waited 20 minutes for a table, but let me tell you that 20 minutes was worth the small wait. Paul was our server and he was fantastic! Made great suggestions and all were awesome! His back waiter was his daughter, Sarah and she was just as good, if not better! We had a Caesar salad, big, fresh romaine and great Cesar dressing. My wife had the Chicken Marsala, best either of have tasted and I had the Cavatelli pasta, so good. Bottle of Frank Family Vineyards Pinot Noir, incredible Pinot! Finished off with an apple bread pudding, we love a good bread pudding and this was a great one! To top the night off, the owner, Justine stopped by our table and we had a great conversation! We wish we had a spot like this close to home in Texas, but will have to settle for Windham, NY! We spent 3 days in Manhattan, had good food and a good time but nothing close to what we experienced at Millrock! Thank you Justine, Paul, Sarah and the rest of the staff!

This experience stood out for the wrong reasons.

When we first arrived, we were told there would be a one-hour wait. Surprisingly, we received a seating message within five minutes, which was confusing but not an issue. We were also informed that the entire group needed to arrive before being seated—something that is fairly common. However, despite this, we were seated before our full party had arrived, which set the tone for the inconsistency that followed.

I joined the table a little later than the rest of my group and had not yet had the chance to review the menu. When the host, Adam, came to take orders, I politely asked for a few minutes to decide. This was a very reasonable request. Unfortunately, his response was noticeably unprofessional and dismissive—not just to me, but obvious enough that everyone at the table noticed.

He insisted that I had “one minute” and stated that he would not place orders unless everyone ordered at the same time. This made little sense. By that logic, would additional orders not be accepted mid-meal? Would dessert orders be refused later? That approach felt rigid, unnecessary, and frankly rude. Whether it was poor training or a lack of courtesy, it was not the level of service one expects from a good restaurant.

The food itself was decent, and interactions with other staff members later in the evening were acceptable. However, when you encounter an experience like this early on, even the good aspects of the evening start to feel diminished. Hospitality and professionalism are as important as the food, and this interaction had a lasting impact on our night.

Out of respect for my group, I chose not to react at the moment, but had I been dining alone, I would have left immediately.

Would I return? No.
Would I recommend this place? Not at this stage.

There are many other restaurants offering comparable food with far better hospitality. You can make your own choice, but I will not be returning or recommending this restaurant.

I’m still trying to figure out my experience here. Everyone was friendly. The waitstaff was attentive if not flying through the dining room at a pretty impressive clip, you may never see the same waitstaff arrive at your table twice. Very busy, loud… I’m just so confused about the food I was served. I have to admit I was resting on my laurels and complacent, but I figured “chef knows best” in most cases.

Anyhow I ordered the Pugliese, which was supposed to be “Cavatelli tossed with sautéed broccoli rabe, Italian sausage, shaved Parmigiano, garlic, and toasted breadcrumbs”. It was missing Parmigiano, garlic, and toasted breadcrumbs. Had I checked the menu after I had tasted it, I’d have sent it back. What I received was cavatelli tossed with sautéed broccoli rabe, Italian sausage in a bowl with green pasta water. I just figured the dish sucked and the chef was a hack, turns out he’s just forgetful which is kinda worse. This should have been caught at the service expo and never made it to me.

Should have kept the menu so I could have done something in the moment, but the couple we were with seemed to be having good time and I really didn’t want to rock the boat.

I suppose it should be said that my partner’s Scampi dish was incomplete as well (no garlic, lemon, salt, butter, or sear on the shrimp that I could see), but she said her shrimp was cooked well enough to not mention it. The scampi pasta had the same pasta water at the bottom of the bowl issue my Pugliese did, so she only ate the boiled shrimp. Neither saw a hot pan in retrospect.

Are all these reviews real? Or am I just the first person to ever order and review this dish? Replace it. 36 dollars for pasta water italian sausage rabe and cavatelli is a scam.

3/4 of us took to go boxes, and not a single one of us went back to eat it.

The Millrock Restaurant & Bar catered dinner for my large family reunion this past weekend and it was absolutely delicious! I worked with Eddie to create the menu and ensure we ordered enough food for the 65 people we hosted. Eddie and his chef were extremely accommodating of the food allergies in our group and recreated dishes on their menu to fit the needs of our family members. Eddie was a great communicator and went above & beyond to make sure that every tray was perfectly prepared. The signature stuffed rigatoni was a huge hit for both the children and adults as well as the chicken parm. We also had the signature salad with goat cheese, dried cranberries, and pumpkin seeds which had guests coming back for seconds. The eggplant was fried to perfection and had amazing flavor. Overall, I highly recommend the food and want to reiterate how professional Eddie was to work with. We will be ordering from this restaurant again.

We hosted our rehearsal dinner at Millrock Restaurant and were really pleased with how it turned out! It’s a family-run restaurant that was able to accommodate our group of about 40 people with ease. Eddie helped us plan a great menu that everyone loved. The chicken parm and stuffed pasta were big hits! The evening felt relaxed and welcoming. We would recommend Millrock for any group gathering or special occasion.

We were staying up the road at eastwind and decided to stop in for dinner. The hostess was incredibly sweet and chatted with us while we waited for a table. We ended up sitting at the bar and had the most delicious dinner/drinks as we enjoyed some lovely conversation with the bartender and the owners. You can tell this place is family owned and we were treated as if we were family ourselves! Will absolutely be back! 12/10 experience all around!
