I cannot rave about this place enough! This hidden gem needs to be discovered because the quality and intention behind each detail of this place is spectacular.

The menu had tons of great options for both breakfast and lunch, from sandwiches and burgers to breakfast bowls and waffles, they made it hard to choose. Safe to say we will be back again to try more in the future, especially with their menu being updated seasonally to keep things fresh and exciting.

We settled on the Veggie Bowl and Savory Waffles which were both to die for and tasted even better than they appeared, which was impressive! I especially liked that everything tasted fresh and came well seasoned and so flavorful there was no need to add hot sauce, although they had a great selection of those as well. The curry aioli that came along with the veggie bowl was a delicious and unique touch to an already tasty meal too.

The portions were generous enough that we saved half of each plate for later so we could indulge in one of their beautiful pastries, which to my surprise were all gluten free! It’s wonderful to know anything on the menu can also be made gluten free as well.

The cookie was giant, soft and delicious without too many chocolate chips to distract from the actual flavor of the cookie itself which was not overly sweet, with just a touch of sea salt that I thoroughly enjoyed.

The owners behind the counter were friendly and welcoming, even to my little chihuahua girl who is normally quite shy. There is a great little market section with local and hand crafted goods to check out while you wait and the bathroom was cute and very clean which I appreciated. I love the vibe of the outdoor patio seating with fresh flowers that are also for purchase as well.

I can’t wait to come back and visit again soon and am happy to make the trip down to imperial beach just for this experience. I am looking forward to seeing this business grow and continue to thrive within its community for many years to come. Show your support and be sure to bring friends and family alike to enjoy all this place has to offer. Whether grabbing a quick coffee and pastry or dining in, this place is sure to not disappoint.

Wow. Our whole family loved this gluten free feast. There was no line. Great 80s music. The server/chef, Shelly and the young lady on register were just as excited about the food as we were. Excellent gluten free biscuits and gravy. We LOVED all the pastries. The gluten free waffles with the sweet cream cheese filling was probably our favorite. They also had many great options for yummy drinks.

First time visitor, I stumbled across this place after leaving a farmers market in IB. Talk about a serious hidden gem. When you first arrive if you’re not paying attention you may mistake it for a home. The parking was great and clean, the outside patio area was covered, and the girls behind the counter were very friendly and welcoming. The merch inside is pretty eclectic and cool to bring visitors from out of town, or maybe a cool office gift idea. The dessert selection and display were very enticing. I got the diner breakfast bowl and wow the meat was indescribably good. I didn’t expect that mirage of flavors. They even had recyclable bowls which is very thoughtful. All in all this is a place to visit on a Sunday morning, better yet any morning for your hunger cravings.

By far- the best breakfast place in the entire area! the whole time i was there… i kept thinking- this place should have a Michelin Star. Not kidding! I’ve traveled extensively and love to cook- and this place ranks high. I did not know the owners or anything about this place- I googled “best breakfast place in IB” because i had just washed my car in IB. lol
the food, the coffee, the atmosphere – all perfect.

Absolutely amazing. My wife and I went for breakfast and we were blown away by the amazing food and treats! Had to get a brownie for later! Would definitely recommend to anyone. Love the couple running it, so cordial and kind. Go right away, you won’t regret it!

I really enjoyed Millport! The space is small but there’s a great atmosphere and an outdoor deck area for dining. The cafe has a lot of breakfast and lunch options, as well as a small market that sells things like coffee beans, hats, and tinned fish. The staffing and service were great, everyone I encountered was very polite.

I ordered a latte and a breakfast bowl – the latte was good and the bowl was great! It included bacon, potatoes, scrambled eggs and sausage. The bacon was cooked well and I really enjoyed the scrambled eggs. The herb aioli they included was a standout and meshed well with everything in the bowl.

I’m definitely planning to come again! Looking forward to trying more things from their menu.

Hard to put into words what an experience it was to be able to try Neat Underground’s creations for the first time. Every single dish was masterfully put together, each component thought out carefully. From the added salt crystals on the steak and quinoa that added another layer of texture, to the herbs and edible flowers which were not only beautifully placed on the butter, but were also delicious. Will definitely order from here again, and urge you all to do the same!

A chill homey place, super refreshing finding a spot like this. I have celiac disease and a eat gluten free diet, here I did not struggle one bit, all the options are solid and delicious. The owner is considerate, accommodating and super aware to avoid cross contamination. Definitely my new favorite restaurant

I’ve been coming to this place for years and it has changed names along with owners a few times. I decided to try Millport to see what the changes were. I was pleasantly surprised. The food was good and I really enjoyed the matcha. The prices are a little steep. I will definitely return buy not frequently.
