Ordered takeout from Milliner’s while in town for business. With a name like “Southern Smoke” I had to see how their BBQ compared to the BBQ back home in the south (Shelby, NC – see Bridges BBQ) so I ordered the Pulled Pork Plate. The staff were welcoming and courteous and the kitchen area, which is visible, appeared to be clean. Courtesy and cleanliness are great, but the real question is – how was the BBQ? It was really good. I received a healthy portion of pulled, delicious pork. I prefer a vinegar based sauce, but their sauce was good – it allows the taste of the slow cooked meat to take center stage where it can shine which is great. The plate included huge portions of the side items – fries and onion rings in my case – plus a nice sized hunk of cornbread as an unexpected hidden surprise. After a long flight there’s nothing like a plate of pulled pork to boost your blood pressure! In my opinion Milliner’s passed the “but is it really southern BBQ” test. They get an A from me. Good job! Keep slow cooking!!

Both Cathy and I chose the ½ Rack of St. Louis Ribs with 2 sides, she had the salt potatoes and macaroni and cheese and I chose the fries and coleslaw.
The food was very good and Rebecca brought out a treat of their sweet and tangy sauce with blueberry. Never had blueberry in my barbecue sauce BUT I will again!

Happened to be spending the weekend in Hornell, read the reviews, close to the hotel we were at, online ordering, curbside pickup and best choice we could have made. I haven’t had BBQ this good since I was in Kansas City,MO. So good, kids split the 1/2 ribs plate, ate everything! We also had the Big Cal…so much food, so good. Prices are family friendly. Definitely should order from here. Quick curbside pickup.

Great staff! Very friendly and easy to have a conversation with. Their smoked wings are out of this world! I am from the Buffalo area and I can say these are the best wings I have ever had. They only have them Wednesday nights. Go early because they sell out!!

The staff is great and helpful making our food choice. The food here was BOMB! Fall off the bone ribs and juicy beef brisket! Definitely need to try their blueberry sauce on the ribs because that is crazy tasting! The pulled pork is also good as well. Was not that much of a fan of the roasted chicken but nothing I would give one less star about.

Excellent food! Loved how it was served on the trays, very nice touch. We took our 5 and 7 year olds and they basically ate the entire chicken off the bones. Coleslaw and corn bread are amazing! We live 2 hours away and was passing through on our way home from a weekend trip and will return again.

The food was fantastic!! It Was served quickly and hot. Wish I could say something positive about the service at the “bar,” but no. They need to have cash service there if they want to sell any beverages… We didn’t get our beers til almost half way through our dinner unfortunately. Might be a great stop for a quick lunch, but not a good dinner feel.

Ate there last night with my wife. We split the Marty (4 meats – chicken, pork, briscuit, and ribs – and 4 sides) so we could have a sampling of most of what they offer. It was all delicious. My personal favorite were the ribs. We had them with the blueberry sauce at the recommendation of our server and they were incredible.
I also very much enjoyed the ambiance with blues playing in the background.
