This is a clean, well-lit and pleasant place with very friendly servers. I was pleasantly surprised by the decor as I was expecting a sort of tavern-dive atmosphere.
We ordered the pulled pork nachos and the combo platter (port, chicken, brisket). The nachos were good, and there was plenty of pork on them. As for the rest, I was not impressed. The brisket was very dry — if that’s unusual, it’s still their fault for even offering it to a customer. It should not have been served. The chicken was also dry although that’s not a big a sin, since it is way leaner than brisket to start with. Everything had a very strong smoky taste, so much so that I suspect they achieve that with liquid smoke or some other additive.
The sauces — you really had to put sauce on this meat to make it palatable. I really did like the blue sauce. The yellow sauce is like a mix of mustard and honey, it has a very strong mustard taste and it’s not bad on the pork. The baked beans, well let’s just say my 11 year old daughter’s first words after tasting them, were “wow these are too sweet”. This, from a kid who can eat a pound of halloween candy a day. The cornbread was quite tasty.
The people who rave about the BBQ at this place haven’t tasted really good, wood-fired BBQ. Try Wayne’s in Superior for brisket, or Moe’s in Boulder for chicken.

90% of the time, food and service are great. The waitstaff is fantastic (Bianca and Andrea and Trish and CC in particular). It’s nice to have a locals-only type place in a town that is quickly being overrun by pricey places that appeal more to Boulder money than to working locals. They need to modernize their menu a little to compete with the two new close-by grill restaurants opening soon, but I hope they do. If not, I’d love to take over the space and open a dive bar with live music!

Simply wonderful! You walk in to a clean area with a thriving atmosphere, welcomed by the sweet aroma of delicious meats being cooked in the back. The staff is courteous, kind, respectful, and prompt. The food is absolutely delectable and you can tell they care about the quality.

Terrible service. Came here because it was easy and close. We ordered two sandwiches and a beer, and our waitress abandoned us completely after we ordered. Manager brought out our food, no silverware or napkins for 5 minutes until I had to go get them, no drink refills whatsoever (no napkins or drinks with bbq?!). I even asked the other waitress for the table next to our for a refill, never happened. My girlfriend had to go find someone to get us a check, and we still waited ten minutes. Left zero tip. Should have walked out. Never going here again.

The service was so amazing. Food was way delicious nothing like this around. BBQ is the best I have had in this town. Good beer happy place our server was amazing she was so hapy to answer any questions you can see this place from the road and smell it a blocks away so glad we stopped in.

Decent atmosphere but the food is a total joke. The steak nachos I got were totally horrible. The steak was raw and blood all over. Was so gross. Waitress also said they were paid mega low wages (like under $7 p/h). So I won’t be going back to this sweat shop. I like my waiters paid and my food actually cooked.

Food was great. Service has minors flaws but overall was a great experience. 2/3 bbq sauces were good. 3rd tasted like mustard honey and ketchup…. Update came back for a 2nd meal and it was just as excellent as the first. Food is phenomenal! The burgers!

Great experience. Their BBQ is amazing, I recommend trying a dish using their pulled pork. I always make sure to visit Miller’s a few times when I’m visiting friends in the Boulder, CO area. A Great atmosphere and they have great brews on draft. One of my favs the Left Hand Milk stout is on draft. A+

I always want this place to be good, but it’s just not. Plain and simple. From lousy waitstaff to crappy BBQ this place isn’t worth a look at. I’ve had at least 5 popular items from the menu, including their nachos with homemade cheese sauce and their famous BBQ bowls, ribs, you name it…it plainly SUCKS. How can cornbread be so insanely WRONG?I’m ashamed I’ve wasted so much money here. Sorry guys, it really needs some work! There are too many delicious places around to waste time here.

We enjoy going here. My husband enjoys all of the types of barbeque and meat. They have a good selection of beer too and good service. Prices are average. Vegetarian options are scarce buy there aren’t many.
