You need to wait a while to have your beer on your table, that’s the bad experience I had there, but the rest is very good.
The problems started early. During the day, we called multiple times to ask if it would be possible to arrange tables for a larger group in the evening. We were told that the restaurant does not take reservations, which we fully understood. However, the call was ended abruptly and in a very disrespectful manner.
Despite that, we still decided to go. About 30 minutes before our arrival, I personally went to the restaurant, already dressed for the occasion, and politely asked if they could combine some tables for our group. The two hostesses were kind and helpful until they called the manager — the same person who had spoken to us earlier on the phone.
From that moment on, everything changed. The manager was extremely rude, unprofessional, and unprepared, especially toward my girlfriend, particularly while I was briefly outside handling something on my phone. When I returned, his behavior shifted, and he said nothing further, simply seating us.
It is also important to note that the manager raised his voice and spoke disrespectfully to the women in our group, in an intimidating manner, specifically during moments when they were alone, without other men present. In addition, the manager mocked the accent of one member of our group, doing so in a sarcastic and humiliating way, which constitutes discriminatory and racially insensitive behavior. This conduct demonstrates a clear abuse of authority, a lack of emotional control, and a complete absence of professionalism.
Once seated, the staff took everyone’s order — except for my girlfriend, who was completely ignored. It is important to emphasize that she was the birthday girl, which makes the situation even more unacceptable.
Throughout the evening, the manager repeatedly walked by our table, watching closely, and every time a staff member stepped away, he pulled them aside to give instructions, creating a tense and uncomfortable atmosphere.
My girlfriend asked for a soda refill four times, and none were ever delivered. While other guests at our table received their meals — some already finishing dessert — her food had still not arrived. When it finally did, it was cold and missing the sauce she had requested.
Trying to at least salvage the moment, she asked for a “Captain Jack” dessert with candles so we could sing happy birthday. The response was that there would be no birthday celebration, delivered in a rude, sarcastic, and disrespectful tone.
One of her friends stood up and asked why the staff was being so rude and why there seemed to be a personal targeting of the birthday girl. They then claimed there were no candles. When my girlfriend, already emotionally shaken, asked if she could at least have the dessert, the response was, word for word:
“There is no dessert for you here.”
To make matters worse, when the check was brought, the waitress sarcastically asked:
“Would you like a soda to go?”
This after my girlfriend had requested four refills that were never provided.
This night was marked by inhumane treatment, lack of professionalism, humiliation, and complete disregard for the customer, causing deep emotional distress to my girlfriend and extreme discomfort for our entire family.
The manager’s behavior was completely unacceptable and far below any reasonable standard of customer service. Due to what occurred, we intend to file a police report in the coming days.
