My husband and I had a wonderful meal on Friday. We went all out and got 3 courses. I had scallops to start, ribeye for main and banoffe pie for dessert. My husband started with calamari, also had the ribeye and finished with chocolate brownie. We couldn’t move afterwards haha! Our server, Alex, was fantastic and helped me to decide which steak would be best for me (I’m not an experienced steak eater) and it was definitely the right choice. Cooked to perfection. The banoffee pie was the best I’d ever had! Great service. Can’t wait to return.

Me and my partner booked Miller and Carter Newcastle for our 5 year anniversary. Over the years, we have been to many Miller and Carters, but this one easily comes on top.
Alex our server, made our night so special. From the first interaction we knew we were in for a good night.
The food was second to none, we will definitely be returning and can only hope to have Alex as our server!

* This is a late review from our dining service, back on Weds 24th Sept evening * ..
We went as a family to dine our at the Miller and Carter’s restaurant in Newcastle for first time, as we are often regulars to this particular restaurant food chain down south of the UK when eating out. We like to say from our point of view: we would immensely recommend trying this place when up north if able to!
.. First off from the get go, we were welcomed with great customer service throughout the day, as well food service given to us on time and cooked hot to our liking. Not only this was the best outing to this restaurant we been to in ages, but my own mother had her favourite Banoffee Pie dessert. She enjoyed this so much she said it was her BEST one she had in her life, period (and that is saying something lol)! .. My father also enjoy the dining event that evening, including the free drinks on me and chats from the staff as well.
We like to not only thank for all those that evening, both the staff with their great service and also the chefs for their well made hot cooked dishes … BUT most importantly, we would highly like to give 100% recognition to one individual who carried us throughout our experience, and that is JONNY! .. Jonny at all times, was always making us feel welcomed during our evening great, always given us his highly well knowledge of all food dishes and drinks to go for, and also he always gave very good conversations with us to feel at home during our time in Newcastle!

Please do let Jonny know right away about our this review here, just to let him know exactly how much we REALLY appreciate his hardwork, his food expertise and how very sufficient this gentleman was with my parents all that evening before the game (Also to let him know, the football game that evening was awesome, that even the away Bradford fans made the football experience very welcomed and friendly environment on that night: final score New 4 – 1 Brad)!
We cannot wait to come back again sometime soon, once we get another set of home tickets, to come back to Miller and Carter’s up north, to see all you guys again once more! 🙂

Great meal and experience at miller and carter. We had the Sunday sharing board which was absolutely delicious. Alex was our server and was friendly, attentive, and made sure everything was ok throughout our meal. We will definitely be back!

We had an absolutely incredible dinner at Miller and Carter Newcastle last night, and a huge part of that was down to our server, Kaya.
From the moment we sat down, Kaya made us feel incredibly welcome. His knowledge of the menu was impressive—he walked us through the different cuts of steak and recommended the perfect wine pairing without being pushy at all.
What really stood out was his attention to detail. Despite the restaurant being busy, he was attentive, timed our courses perfectly, and made sure our drinks were never empty. He has that rare balance of being professional yet genuinely warm and friendly.
If you’re heading here for a special occasion (or just a great steak), definitely ask for Kaya’s section. He turned a great meal into a memorable experience. We will definitely be back!

The whole experience at miller at carter was brilliant from the service to the food. The steak was delicious and perfectly cooked. But the most enjoyable part of our experience was our server Thomas. He was so friendly and his recommendation of the menu was spot on. It was my husband’s birthday and he surprised us with a complimentary desert which went down a treat. Visited for the first time with my partner on Sunday 8/2/26. Could not fault the staff. As soon as we walked through the door they were attentive and helpful. Myself and my partner came here for a belated Valentine’s Day date on Sunday night and we absolutely can not fault the service provided for us. Thomas, who served us at the time, was very accommodating and guided us through the set menu and even recommended some options himself! He was chatty and made us feel very welcome.
The food itself was amazing, me and my partner both got the starter, main and even desert because we couldn’t resist! My steak came just as how I wanted it, so did my partner’s, and the food portions were perfect (even though my eyes were bigger than my stomach, I took the rest home for my mum).

The steak here was perfectly cooked and the service was very prompt and quick. The dessert was really sweet but not overwhelmingly sweet but I did share. I enjoyed the variety of the butchers block especially the beef brisket topped bone marrow. It was our anniversary as stated in the booking and the man at the door acknowledged that, however, our server did not despite asking the table next to us if they were celebrating a special occasion. Additionally the table where we were seated was quite cold and had lots of foot traffic so breeze was cold too. Our server seemed happier when serving other guests rather than my table but unsure why. Overall I really enjoyed the food but my experience was lacking despite all positive recent views which upped my expectations so disappointing really
