It was freezing in there. Between the windows and the doors (front & back) opening there was a constant freezing draft. A woman even went to the standing heater and said her feet were frozen.
It was clean inside, bathrooms were freezing and the inside itself was small.
The parking sucked and for handicapped people would not be good at all. They did have a ramp but no close handicap places so we had to walk across a very slippery parking lot. The parking was very limited. This alone would not be a reason for returning.
The mushrooms were huge and lightly breaded. They were good but I would prefer the smaller size. Personal preference and again they were good.
The Reuben sandwich was very good (husband had it) and up sized to fries which were also good.
I had the pot roast sandwich with waffle chips. The sandwich was amazing (I added onions & gr peppers). The waffle fries were evidently the bottom of the bag because they were all small pieces which I couldn’t even hold onto to dip in the French onion dip which I paid extra for.

The wet burrito was very good (son in law had this).

The pasta carbonara was not good (daughter had) and the garlic bread came with a large black hair across it. The employees were very apologetic and of course by the time she got her new pasta we were all done eating & freezing. It was her birthday meal so it was disappointing. They did comp her meal so there is that.

All in all it was good not great and did I mention FREEZING?

The server was very slow in coming around and we had to track her down to get our check. She was pleasant as were the other employees we came into contact with.

Because of location & parking we will not return but the sandwiches would be worth it if it were not for that.

Went for the first time and we were pleased with the food, enough that we’ll go back again and the service is excellent. Best we’ve had in a long time.
The onion ring appetizer is huge! Enough for 4 people! Lots of homemade stuff here according to our server. Server explained charges on bill. Another server volunteered her help when she saw us bagging up our leftovers. Definitely try this place!

Came here for the first time yesterday. I got the onion rings and New York Strip steak.
The steak was a bit overdone for medium rare, but the seasoning and vegetables were so delicious, It didn’t even bother me. The fat was well rendered and delicious too.

The onion rings and sauce are huge, great for 3 or 4 people. Delicious batter and sauce, nice sweet onions.

Service was great, very kind people working here.

I love the vibe here. Its a comfy place to grab a pint on your own, but also perfect for a group of 6.

Edit: the owner commented on my review, said to reach out, I sent 2 emails and never heard back.

Was there last night; Service was bad. I’m not sure what I did to piss off the server other than ask a few questions about the menu and comment that last time I was there was ~10 years ago. We got our drinks and then didn’t see him again for 20 minutes. I was about ready to stand up and pay for my drink at the bar and leave by the time he circled back again. Was dry, rude, and effectively ignored my attempts to be friendly and strike up conversation. And at the same time, he was laughing and conversing with the tables adjacent to us.

Bar was loud, football game was on, no surprise there. Average bar environment.

Food was good, among some of the better bar food I’ve had but didn’t blow me away. Also came out quick.

Based on the issues with service, I have no reason to go back. Plenty of other decent bar food nearby, where I know I can be respected as a paying customer.
And I still tipped my 20%+ on my tab despite feeling like the service was worth far less than that.

I used to spend a lot of time in Ferndale, MI. The service is terrible over there at almost every restaurant, but the food is incredible, and offsets the service just fine. Not the same here.

Mill Creek Tavern has a large lunch menu, with specials. Friendly & knowledgable service; nice atmosphere, like a neighborhood bar.

Lunch Special: I had the “Cup of Soup and ½ Sandwich $13”
• Soup: Steak, baked potato and asparagus
• MCT Club: Ham, turkey, bacon, house cream cheese spread, honey mustard, lettuce, tomato, on toasted sourdough.
• Both were excellent!

Had the olive burgers and its now my favorite one ever! I see how it won an award. No shortage of green olives on it thats for sure! When I want an olive burger this is where I’ll be getting it from. I ate it with a fork and knife because it was huge and messy, but so delicious .

Stopped in with a couple of co-workers for a tuesday evening meal. The place was busy when we arrived and continued to fill up as we progressed through our meal. Had the queso nacho appetizer that was out of this world. I went for the firecracker Salmon entree and it was equally great. Washed down with a couple of the local Perrin Black brews. Nothing remote to disappoint. This place is great. Third visit personally, and it never fails to please.

If I could give this more than five stars I would. My husband and I were visiting for our twin nieces graduation. Eleven of us stopped here for an early dinner. Right off the bat we were greeted with very friendly staff. Our waiter was top notch and handled all 11 of us with ease. The food…oh my god, THE FOOD! It was amazing! I wish I had taken more pictures since everyone ordered something different. Try the tater tot appetizers! Everything is made from scratch and tastes amazing! My husband and I plan to visit this place again next time we see our nieces. Yes, it’s THAT good!

My brother and I came in for lunch.

Parking: A problem here for sure, so make sure to come with extra time to find parking. There are about 20 spots tops in the back of the building, or else you will have to park across the street.

Service: We sat and waited quite a bit for drinks to come. Didn’t have the same waitress, just two separate ladies and each one only checked in once. Service was the part that wasn’t great. The wait staff spent most of their time talking to each other. One lady was frustrated enough to get up and walk over to the bar to finally get assistance.

The Food: Took quite awhile to come out. We got the Philly and the Deli Chicken Salad Sandwich. Both were great! The fries were amazing. Probably the best fries I have had. If service could step up, and parking was better available, this place would be a regular go to for me!

Sidenote: We came in around 1pm. There was one man running around and four other wait staff. The service shouldn’t have been so slow.

The Atmosphere: The place is very loud due to how small it is, even at lunch time hours. I don’t suggest coming here if you are hard of hearing, have problems with loud surroundings, or want a peaceful lunch or dinner.
