If you’re looking for one of the best bars in Elmwood Village, you have to check out Milkie’s Elmwood Lounge in Buffalo. This place has an awesome neighborhood bar vibe with great drinks, friendly bartenders, and some of the best live music and entertainment in Buffalo. They regularly host karaoke, comedy nights, open mic events, DJs, and local bands, so there’s always something happening.
The bar food is surprisingly amazing too. The house-made wings, chicken tenders, chopped cheese subs, and curry onion rings are incredible, and they even have great vegan and vegetarian options, which you don’t see at many bars.
The atmosphere is cozy, fun, and perfect for hanging out with friends, playing games, or discovering new local bands. If you want a Buffalo dive bar with great food, live music, and a welcoming crowd, Milkie’s is definitely a must-visit.

LOVE Milkie’s! This was our first time here and I’m hoping it won’t be the last! Great, intimate, live music venue. Decently priced drinks and food. (We stuck with drinks and fries, can’t speak for the real meals.)
Pool table and darts. Tables and seats as well a standing room for music. It’s the right mix of cozy and clean while still being a liiitle bit cave like and grungy.
I didn’t understand the layout of the space from other photos/ reviews, so I tried to capture the layout with my pics: one room has the games and hangout couches, while the main room has the bar and tables. We had a great time switching between the two rooms, to play pool and listen to great local music. Both rooms had people hanging out and having fun.
Great date night on a snowy Buffalo weekend! 10/10 would come again.

Randomly dropped in to just get a beer and something to eat. It turned out they were having live music, so I stuck around. Glad I did; the Daisy Chain played a great mix of cover tunes from the Beatles to Metalica, and some fun original tunes. Meredith & Nikki were great behind the bar, and overall the vibe here was… energetic and welcoming. Totally recommended.

Stopped in to see a friend’s band play there. Place is very roomy, and if it’s too loud you can go into the pool table room. Place is clean, adequate space in the bar area makes it easy.

Went there to hear music doors open at 8 I left at 940 and they hadn’t even started yet they just stood around talking and honestly the guitar player sitting at a table behind me stunk so bad I had to leave , service was great the drinks were great maybe just not the vibe for me

Wanting a beer and some food, we visited last night. We had wings, crab Rangoon, and onion rings. Everything was delicious. The bartender was amazing and took great care of us. There was a Jeopardy tourney going on while we were there, and while we didn’t play, it was fun to watch. We would definitely visited again.

Great Dive to chill… it’s got a good vibe to it. Went for Open Mic and it was just nice to hear some live local music. Also… they put a lemon on my drink <3... updated and still agree : )
