I recently had the pleasure of dining at Milk & Honey, and it did not disappoint! I ordered the chicken and waffles, and let me just say — perfection. The chicken was crispy, seasoned just right, and fried to golden-brown excellence. The waffle was fluffy on the inside with that slight crisp on the outside, creating the perfect sweet-and-savory balance. Every bite was worth it.
Shoutout to my bartender, Dee! Dee was attentive, friendly, and made the experience even better with great service and positive energy. Drinks were on point and served with a smile.
Between the food, the vibe, and the service, it was definitely a 10/10 experience. I’ll absolutely be back!

We came to the Milk&Honey at The Warf and our server Johanna was fantastic! She thoroughly explained the menu and answered all questions we threw her way. Our food came fairly quick and it was delicious! If you get the pleasure of getting Johanna you will not be disappointed.

Milk & Honey is a tried and true. You shouldn’t leave disappointed. I never do. You also won’t leave hungry! Their portions are plentiful!! Takeaway box highly likely. I got the fried Salmon hash, it was a little overcooked but it was still good. I had a sparkling wine drink with elderberry in it that was absolutely refreshing!! I was feeling after just one! My kid got one of their many cocktails and loved it.

It took me a while to write this review but finally it here ! My boyfriend and I were in Washington DC for the weekend and we researched this restaurant prior to our arrival . The staff were so gracious, welcoming and very knowledgeable about the menu. The food was super tasty, flavorful and well portioned. The vibe is giving grown and sexy even though we ate breakfast there the overall vibe is very sexy, luxe and professional. The art is beautiful and the spirits are amazing. My eyes are often bigger than my stomach so I find myself ordering way more food than I’ll actually eat in one sitting . I totally recommend you stop by and check them out . They have a bunch of locations

Everything here was amazing!! The staff at the front seating and handling reservation needs a little work but even with that, still five stars! I went for brunch on a Saturday and the wait (for the bar) wasn’t long which was surprising. The woman behind the bar helping us (light brown with locs) was so nice and personable. She was smiling and laughing with everyone.. even making sure the people next to me got biscuits (that they didn’t ask for) because she noticed how quick they drank and didn’t want them to be too messed up from the alcohol. Loved that. The food was great and I’m really not a chicken and waffles person. The biscuits were great also and I don’t eat biscuits. The atmosphere was great, music was good and at a good level. Definitely going back!

I had an absolutely amazing experience at Milk & Honey at The Wharf in DC (Southwest location)! From the moment I walked in, the service and hospitality were top-notch.
Our server, Mr. Kevin Speight, was truly exceptional — incredibly attentive, personable, and knowledgeable. He offered great recommendations, checked on us often without being intrusive, and made the entire dining experience even more enjoyable.
A huge shout-out to General Manager Nakia Jones, who clearly runs a phenomenal team. Everyone was warm and welcoming, especially Brianna at the front — she greeted me with a big smile and helped me get seated right away even though the place was packed. I thought I’d have to wait, but thanks to her efficiency and professionalism, I was seated in no time (my friend already had a reservation, which made the process even smoother).
The food was spectacular — fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The atmosphere is lively yet inviting, and the location is perfect for a fun brunch, lunch, or dinner outing.

This was a VERY disappointing experience. I drove out of my way to visit the Wharf location because of its past high standards. I used to come here all the time, but the quality has noticeably declined. The food presentation LOOKS good, but tastes nasty.
They used to serve three fresh, hot, jumbo buttery biscuits—now the biscuits were dry. The Biscoff waffle was disappointing…it used to be SO good, the difference is significant (look at the photos below). The Cajun pasta lacked flavor, and the gumbo was average. No plate in my party was finished.
The service was also poor. I didn’t complain to the server at the time because the issues couldn’t really be fixed once the food was already prepared. I also dislike the force to tip in front of the servers face…they dont drop off the machine to pay they watch you tip and hover over. Also, the prices online and on the menu DO NOT match the final bill. Prices are outrageous for the quality of food.
Overall, I’m really disappointed and unfortunately won’t be returning.

Milk & honey is great restaurant that offers a great dinning experience with great tasting food on offer served to you by a great staff. I had there award winning shrimp and grits paired with a black berry and mint cocktail and the butter milk biscuits served with their Cinnamon, butter and peach jam on the side as a appetizer. The biscuits was light tinder and buttery just like Grandma used to make and paired with that peach jam is a great way to start your meal off. And for my main course the award winning shrimp and grits now to be totally honest I have had better shrimp and grits before but that shouldn’t take away from the amazing work of the chief here and their shrimp and grits . If you have never had shrimp and grits and wanted try it for the first time this would be a great introduction to dish as it tasted good and was some the best I have had over the years but was just missing that little something extra to say it was great. All said I will definitely be returning to Milk & honey again in the near future that I’m sure of.

I had an excellent experience at Milk & Honey – The Wharf! The food was absolutely delicious and the portions were generous. The staff was awesome from start to finish. My waitress, Johanna, was especially attentive, kind, and patient—she consistently checked in to make sure I was enjoying my breakfast and had everything I needed.
