They have a $5.99 wonton noodle soup promo and a $3.99 beef rice roll promo.
Wonton noodle soup – the wonton were humongous. The noodles had that slight firm consistency by you will remember from a HK noodle shop. It even has that alkaline taste familiar to noodles in HK.
The beef rice roll was quite good as well. It was pretty decent sized serving.
I will come back to try the other stuff.

Checked out this new spot across the street from Mama Lu’s. It is extremely popular right now, so expect a long line for both breakfast and lunch.
The atmosphere is really fun—they have HK bus-style seats that make it feel like a legit Cha Chaan Teng in Hong Kong. The food is authentic and the prices are unbeatable. Lunch selections start at $9.99, and even during the lunch rush, we were able to get the all-day special Wonton Noodle Soup for just $4.99. We also ordered the steamed minced pork with preserved vegetables and the stir-fried string beans with dried shrimp. Everything was delicious.
Just a heads up: they are still in soft opening, so the service is a little chaotic. Also, the parking lot is tiny, so we had to find street parking on the side. Definitely worth it for the value and the flavors!

The good: The restaurant has some specials given their recent opening that offers a bang for your buck. The $4.99 wonton noodles soup is priced exceptionally well and offers five large sized wontons that are filled with pork and shrimp. The flavor however is average and the broth temperature wasn’t hot. The baked tomato pork chop rice at $7.99 is another great deal and a good sized portion.
The bad: The staff is not ready to handle the volume of patrons. While waiting outside, we watched a couple leave after arguing with the owner that they had been waiting for 15 mins and no one had checked in on them. We noticed there were tables that hadn’t been cleared yet and the staff was running to keep pace with the kitchen. There was yelling between the owner and the staff regarding availability of dishes and specifically we saw the owner berate a group of seniors after they confused him with their order. Ultimately it was just a very chaotic and uncomfortable experience inside.

This location is flipping names in many business transactions for many time by far. Each ownership was doing the same trick each time and it did not last: raising the price right after they attracted more business.
This time it attracts a lot of customers for their low price promotion (for the moment):
$4.99 wonton noodles, $3.99 Beef Rice Noodles, and $7.99 Baked Pork Chop Rice.
It’s all delicious, actually! For the price sake, it’s wonderful!

When I got there in person, nobody wanna to take any to-go order! So I went there in person ordering their lunch special, and the kitchen is doing a pretty good job cooking！
Steamed fish is really fresh
Steamed ground pork w/preserved green mustard is decent. However, they didn’t bother to hire any janitors o clean the entire place, as it’s trash all over the place, and the restroom s dirty (see my photos) I can’t believe no any officials ever yet stopping by to check on their cleanliness?!

Nobody is professional: not friendly, no services(even when u trying to wave bagging for services)
Until they now hiring a manager guy to oversee it. He’s friendly efficient and aware overalls what’s happening…
A tall buffing waitress trying to fool me w/the red bean ice drink I ordered: she took my order, then she came back asking if I want to switch my red bean ice drink by adding an ice cream? I said “no” and she took off and never come back. When the manager gave me the bill, it’s show g charging me more which I did not approve…? I asked the mgr to adjust it! The waitress was playing a really bad trick to fool customer. She should be Fired!

Excellent, affordable, super-fresh and tasty authentic Cantonese cuisine! Lunch specials start at just $9.99 and goes up to $13.99 per entree everyday from 11am. The menu is large with a great variety of selections. Service is good, typical no-frills quick and efficient Chinese style. Complimentary hot pot of tea and daily soup is served once you sit down at the table. They also have specialty items with special low promo prices like if you spend $50 then you can get a whole roasted quail for only $12.99 in which our waitress suggested and offered with our order. That was one of thee most delicious little birds I have ever put in mouth! The small sized meaty quail was roasted to perfection and served scorching hot along side a plate of dipping salt and a wedge of lemon. The other four entrees we got were the usual Cantonese home cooked dishes and all had great flavor plus “wok-hay”! My favorite seniors and I will definitely be coming back here for seconds.

The servers spoke both Mandarin and Cantonese. Rice and soup were included. The soup was delicious! I would have liked to order some milk tea, but I didn’t see it on the menu.

-steamed minced pork with salty fish $9.99 – This was the group’s least favorite dish. I would probably not order this again.
-braised tofu with mushrooms $11.99 – This was the second best dish. It was gone in a flash.
-fried squid in 3 flavor sauce $11.99 – This was one the best dish because the sauce was so flavorful. One person commented that this was really good over rice.
-braised duck blood w garlic chives $11.99 – Others in the group enjoyed this dish. This was my first time having duck blood, and I wasn’t a huge fan.
-chicken w green onion $13.99 – This was good. Be aware there are chicken bones.

My first time trying Milk & Co Cafe in Monterey Park with my mom. I was told that they are fairly new, so they have some crazy promotion deals, such as $4.99 for a wonton noodle soup, and $7.99 for a baked tomato pork chop rice, etc. We were there on Sunday around 1:30 p.m., and it had many people waiting there. The interior had a fun vibe with some cool decorations and reminded me of some Hong Kong cafes. We waited about 15 minutes, and the server asked if anyone did not mind table sharing. It was a bit awkward, but my mom and I did not mind, and we wanted to order our food quickly. We ordered their special promotions, a wonton noodle soup, tomato baked pork chop rice, and we also ordered minced pork rice with double eggs for both of us. All the orders came in generous portions. The wonton noodle soup had a lot of noodles inside, and it had five big wontons. The portion was big, and you may want to share it with someone. However, the noodles and wonton were mediocre, but it was great for the value wise. I liked the tomato-baked pork chop rice the most, even though it took a while to make. The pork chop meat was tender, and the taste was flavorful. Lastly, the minced pork rice with double eggs was also tasty. I wish that it had some veggies on it, though. What do they need to improve? The service and wait time, and they need to be more organized. It was a bit chaotic because they were busy and they had such crazy deals. For $4.99 wonton noodle soup and $7.99 tomato baked pork chop rice, they were so worth it. The parking lot is small, so I had to park my car on the street. It’s a new business, so I hope that they can do well. Note: For this special wonton noodle soup promotion, they have some restrictions. You can only order one bowl of wonton noodle soup if you have two people. For 3-4 people, you can order two bowls of wonton noodle soup; for 4-8 people, you can order three bowls of wonton noodle soup; and for 8 or more people can order four bowls of wonton noodle soup.

We passed by this restaurant and their budget friendly lunch special banners caught our eyes and peaked our curiosity. Interior vibe is the typical Chinese restaurant with groups of families dining there with children. Waitstaff weres very welcoming and attentive. Their lunch special starts at $9.99 and up to $13.99 which offers over 40 dishes to choose from based on your taste and budget preference. We ordered the following classic Cantonese dishes to go: steamed minced pork with salted fish ($9.99) and stir fried clams with black beans sauce ($13.99). Food came out fast and hot and we were delighted they included a complimentary, big container of cooked white rice with our takeout order. Restaurants nowadays charge for an individual bowl of cook white rice averaging $2 with entrees. It’s totally unacceptable, in our opinion, to charge for cooked rice at Cantonese Chinese restaurant as most dishes are meant to eat with cooked rice. Our take-out food was delicious and the portion was very generous for the price point. Restaurant is under new management and they are trying yard to compete for the Alhambra/Monterey Park dining community money. We love healthy competition for our hard earned money 🙂 It is our understanding that if you spend over a certain amount, they will give you a coupon for free abalone on next visitsWe would like to come back this restaurant to try other dishes. Note that their lunch specials come with complimentary soup and unlimited steamed rice if you dine in and lunch hours are 11am – 6pm every day Next time we will try their dishes such as clay pot rice and seafood dishes and other specialty dishes.

Service is horrible. They just do cheap price marketing. Most advertised items do not exist when you try to order. For those dishes being offered are not in the cheap price range.
You can see servers are very unprofessional and they probably think you should be grateful for getting their inexpensive food and service.
Lesson learned for blindly believing advertisement on 1430 AM (I should have known by now almost all the commercials were paid by those who are not able to survive).
