We come here frequently with roommates for the decent prices and big portions. Burgers and sandwiches are great and always made just how you want them to be. You’ll get exactly what you think of when you think of Classic American. They also have a variety of cocktails, beers, etc. Plenty of inside and outside seating and at the bar. Pictured is the chicken sando with sweet potato fries and the cowboy burger. Oh, and Tuesdays is Trivia Night!

Located in the same plaza as scout coffee and rite aid.

Milestone Tavern is a nice sit down bar with both indoor and outdoor seating.

They have happy hours from 4-6pm everyday and trivia night from 8-10pm on tuesdays.

Lots of variety of beers, cocktails, and ciders.

We came for their happy hour where beers were $1-2 off depending on your size.

Good vibes, great chillout spot, and lots of ample seating around.

Servers are nice and attentive as well!

Burgers are stellar here, as well as, a whole slew of bar food. The burgers are really a meal, so be prepared. My fav is the Milestone version. They also have a real Pizza oven and do Pizzas quite well. The other bar food can be hit or miss, but is generally far superior to other places. Since the upscale Cal-Poly & Foothills crowd comes here, one can expect great service, good food, and decent prices.
They have been here for quite a few years, and somehow not only made it throw the pandemic era, but still offer the same excellent burgers, drinks, and some of the original food from when they first opened.
For tourists who happen to be driving by on the 1 or even the 101, this is a great place for a casual meal.
The bar has a wide variety of drinks on tap, and then some.
There are all sorts of great seating arrangements.
Before or after eating, there are quite a few stores nearby…such as Rite Aid & Lassens. Further down the street is yet a few more mini-malls for even more shopping.

This is NOT a dive bar…but a nice bar.

Bloody Mary with California distilled vodka was only $8, an absolute steal deal They have the sound turned on for NFL games. Tons of cocktail and beer options. Plenty of bar seating and outdoor patio. Dog friendly. Definitely an amazing place to spend a Sunday Funday

Came to Milestone Tavern today based on a recommendation from a friend. They have a really awesome atmosphere with indoor and outdoor seating as well as seating at the bar. They have lots of TVs around the bar that are visible from all areas of the restaurant.

Everything on the menu looked phenomenal. It was truly hard for us to choose what to order. We ordered the Turkey BLT and Pastrami sandwiches. Their fries are really unique and hard to describe but are absolutely delicious and some of the best fries I have ever tried. Both sandwiches were very robust and delicious. The black pepper aioli on the sandwiches was very tasty and adds a ton of flavor. Their sweet potato fries were delicious as well.

The manager informed us that they were voted number one in SLO County for their dessert but we were too full from lunch to try any of it. The dessert menu looked amazing though!

We will definitely be back to try more of the menu options as everything sounded amazing. Don’t skip out on this on your next trip to San Luis Obispo.

Aptly named a tavern, this sports oriented bar has ample screens, one pool table in a party room, and a rather mundane industrial look.

The bar is a highlight, with an attractive display of spirits and an impressive set of beer taps. The drinks menu lists enticing and interesting riffs on various cocktails.

The server was attentive and friendly and quickly brought a Brother Thelonious beer, a dark Belgian. I like that you can order a five ounce, a ten ounce, or a pint. Stay under your limit but sample if you wish.

My Bobby Hill burger came with an option of a side salad. The salad, with lemon vinaigrette dressing, seemed fresh and flavorful. Although in a small bowl, it was sort of packed for a lot of greens, fresh cherry tomatoes, and other veg.

The burger was the star, a massive 1/2 lb pattie in tasty bun glistening with oil. Bacon, fried onion bits, and barbecue sauce added to the flavor. I like it saucy and moist, so requested ketchup The server didn’t keep me waiting and brought it with a smile.

Overall, I had a great experience from a nice environment, excellent food, and friendly, conscientious service.

Used to go here fairly often and it was good. Went again tonight and was really disappointed. The wings were low quality and barely had any meat on them. The ahi nachos were not good. Wanted to get the barvarian pretzel on the starters list, like I have in the past, but it was $16 dollars! That’s insane!

It was my first time, and I wasn’t sure what to expect. I got a “comfortable burger joint” feel with a high quality restaurant treatment. I really enjoyed the atmosphere and will definitely be returning. I recommend it to everybody looking for some good barbecue, served with professionalism and leadership. That surprised me.

We were in town for my nephew’s graduation and Milestone was the first place on our “must do” checklist. It was a great choice. The food was excellent and it was nice being outside enjoying the atmosphere of the town. We all agreed that their special french fries were delicious.
