I also ordered the gingerbread latte. The drink itself was very good and I enjoyed the flavor, but I probably could have done without the cookie crumbs on top. They looked nice for presentation, but the texture wasn’t ideal while actually drinking it.
The ambience was lovely and the service was great. Since I was dining alone, I was seated right away, which I really appreciated. Overall, a really enjoyable visit.
The service was great. Our waitress thoroughly explained the menu including allergy considerations and popular items. We ordered The Shak, the wild blueberry buttermilk pancakes, and a scone and biscuit served with jam. The main dishes were served fresh and warm.
However the shakshuka did not fully match the menu description. The pita bread was split in half, which felt cheap and the dish was heavily tomato based. It could have benefited from a better egg and tomato ratio, and the feta was placed in dollops rather than evenly distributed. Overall, I would rate this dish a 6/10.
The pancakes were enjoyable but quite thick, and I would not consider them the best pancakes in Toronto. The blueberry flavour was subtle, while the maple syrup was nicely sweet and the whipped cream was excellent. Giving them a rating of 7/10.
Service was great and wait time for food was reasonable. While it was worth trying, I don’t believe I would return.
The wedding coordination team is next level.
Michael, who leads the coordination, is always calm, organized, and genuinely kind. Things run smoothly. And always with a smile.
If you’re looking for a Toronto wedding venue that feels casual but intentional, stylish but not stiff, Mildred’s Temple Kitchen is a fantastic choice. I highly recommend it to couples who want a relaxed, beautifully run wedding with amazing food and great energy.
The interior is gorgeous, from midday to sunset it just gets better and better. Their menu is so well curated and do they know their pancakes!
But what stood out both times was the staff here. Ended up meeting the owner the first time I ate here and the wedding event coordinator during the wedding. Both were so kind, approachable, and just overall you can tell they love what they do. Excited to bring more friends back here.
Above & Beyond Hospitality at Mildred’s!
I had the most incredible experience at Mildred’s and cannot say enough good things about their hospitality. I was running late to meet my friends, and not only did they still welcome me in — they generously offered to keep the kitchen open a little longer for me. That alone speaks volumes about their care and professionalism.
To top off an already amazing day, they surprised us with free scones at the end of the day, which was such a thoughtful and kind gesture. And let me just say — their gin apple cider is hands down the best I’ve ever had. Absolutely delicious. It hits all right spots!
From outstanding service to warm, genuine kindness, Mildred’s goes above and beyond. I will absolutely be back and recommending this gem to everyone I know!
We usually go for the blueberry pancakes but thought we’d change things up and a bit and try their chix and waffle, veda’s choice and a side of the holiday special pecan pancake. All very tasty! The pancake could do without the sprinkles though. All in all, the food was delicious and decadent (be prepared to be stuffed!)
Staff were really friendly and attentive as usual! And the atmosphere is cozy. Will be back!
The prices are slightly on the higher side (chicken & waffles being $26) and the menu is not extensive, but they seemed to be famous for their pancakes.
And I can guarantee you everything lived up to the hype. You cannot go wrong with Chicken & Waffles and ohhhh their pancakes.. Everything we tried was extremely delicious.
They also sell their pancakes mix and blueberry compote and many other things in their pantry section which can make a great gift to give.
Overall service was prompt, the food was delicious, and it was a great experience. Would definitely recommend.
I will come back because I loved the food, but I hope the service improves so the overall experience can be better.
