Unassuming Italian eatery known for dishing up generous portions of fresh pasta, plus happy hours.

Milano’s offers a unique atmosphere sit down dining experience that you just can’t find for Italian food in Fairhaven. Coming from NY and all the amazing Italian food it as to offer, Milano’s doesn’t disappoint. From the appetizer to the dessert was delicious which I started with an ordered of the brandy cream mussels, Milano’s used local source from Taylor Shellfish. The imported wine section was first class, I love a good red wine. Services was outstanding Kurt (waitstaff) and Nancy (owner) were on top of everything, very professional and friendly. Can’t wait to come back and try something new.

Excellent wine selection and a special thanks to our waitress that was able to suggest a wine I enjoyed so much: Chateau de Pougelon Beaujolais Gamay 2020 France. We started with the Brandy Cream Muscles that were heavy on cream and didn’t taste of brandy or much else. The table bread was appreciated as we were so hungry but tasted of flour without gluten or grain expression as if it was mixed and not kneaded. For entrees we ordered the Lamb Toscana, Gamberi Prosciutto and Chicken Gorgonzola Royale having been notified while seated there was one steak left and no salmon. Our reservation was at 5:30 on a Monday. Everything was so salty that no one finished their meal. The prawns were tepid and salty bringing the freshness in question. The chicken and lamb were also salty but cooked perfectly. The French Brandy and wine were not found in the dishes unfortunately. The head chef as far as I could tell never left the dining area but was friendly and attentive.

My partner and I had an amazing birthday dinner here! Wine and cocktails were delicious (server helped with a nice wine pairing with seafood for me and spirit-forward complex drink for my partner), dinner was also great (fresh bread, lamb for him, seafood and pesto for me with housemade pasta!) and they have a sweet dessert/drink combo menu, we had tiramisu (to die for, boozy and fluffy) with a mini cocktail made from their housemade rye (we loved this touch, just a mini drink to go with your dessert). Sam came over and checked in us, was so sweet, brought us something to celebrate the birthday.. I’m Italian and was in the service industry for many years, and we just rarely receive the type of service we received here and really enjoyed it. Thank you again and we will be back! Perfecto!

Date night at this restaurant for the first time. Top notch on all levels!! Exceeded my expectations with atmosphere (the walls were painted to appear like you are dining on the sidewalks of Italy), service, cocktails (must order the pirate Manhattan), wine, homemade bread and pasta (mushroom and prosciutto) and tiramisu. Sam made sure everything was perfect and shared his love of food and drink with us. We felt very taken care of and will be going back again! I can’t believe this place is in Bellingham, it’s so remarkably authentic and delicious!

The food at Milano’s has never failed to be absolutely amazing. I had the lamb and morrel mushroom linguine. The lamb and morrels were cooked perfectly and fresh noodles were perfectly bouncy and chewy. My wife had the chicken parmigiana. It was fork tender and the sauce perfectly balanced.

WOW!!!! The best food I have had in my life! The owner came out and helped select the best drinks with the meals, everything was flawless and divine, and the whole meal costed half the price of what it would normally cost – not even kidding!
One of the best restaurants in the State!!!! 10/10 HIGHLY RECOMMEND! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Simply a great dining experience. Sam and Nancy have created a dining jewel in Fairhaven. The Gamberi Prosciutto with house made pesto was heavenly. I already have my next three meals picked out. The cocktail bar has the biggest selection of Amari I’ve ever seen.

We visited Milano’s over Easter weekend and we were treated to an unexpected meal. Fresh arugula and avocado salad, home made bread with olive oil and balsamic vinegar, wild prawns and a spectacular leg of lamb. I am always hesitant to order lamb in restaurants that I don’t know, but the owner recommended it and from the way he described it we couldn’t resist. We are glad we did because it was the best leg of lamb we had in a very long time. Perfectly seasoned, and cooked and beautifully presented. And what made all of this culinary experience tastier is the rare selection of Spanish and Portuguese wines that you don’t expect to see in this remote area in Washington state. I’d eat there everyday if I could.

PLEASE READ ALL OF THE OWNERS REPLIES to this and other reviews, especially the reviews with less than 5 stars.
For glacier it’s good, but overall it’s average at best. I wouldn’t be surprised if this restaurant had moments of brilliance but don’t expect it on a regular basis. The staff seem to care, but lack the experience. If you really like Italian food you will be unhappy. If you think Olive Garden is a good restaurant then you will probably like it. The flavor of my food was decent, but my noodles we soggy. Service was slow and busy.
It’s nice to see an owner respond to a review. Call me “amateur,” I take no offense. My goal is not to trash your restaurant, but to give my personal opinion of my experience. One of the main criteria Michelin rates restaurants is consistency and consistency should be your goal, not “usually great.” In my personal opinion over cooked noodles in an Italian restaurant is a never event. I honestly hope your restaurant success. Consider seeing this review as constructive criticism rather than trashing.
Lol. Your comments make me laugh. Clearly you are an angry man that lacks self esteem.
I REALLY HOPE PEOPLE READ YOUR REPLIES.
I don’t run a restaurant, but I’m allowed to have an opinion. If you want to learn how reply to reviews check out BMW of Bellevue or the restaurant HSL in Salt Lake City.
