This place has a great history and a signature Taste of a home cooked Italian meal…similar menu to Olive Garden, but with authenticity. The Alfredo sauce is delicious. Quiet and kind of romantic, kid friendly, but I don’t think I’d take my kids again.

Mother’s Day was crazy this year and the staff were so very kind to find us seating. I am so happy I could take my wife out for Mother’s Day. The food is incredible and I love the garlic oil that comes with the fresh baked bread. We love these little mom and pop restaurants. Definitely, appreciate the wonderful atmosphere in this place. Thank you so much Milanos!!!!!

Went there a couple months ago. I really liked the service and the food. Our family all came out of there happy with our dishes. It’s really unique inside, and it’s nice outdoors too. Definitely a good place to add patio setting. Not sure if there was, but would be nice.

Terrible, terrible, terrible. We arrived before 5;30pm, not very many customers. So they were not very busy. The initial bread with light olive oil was bland, no EVOO, no taste. The first basket of bread was just okay, not bad but not good either. We both ordered soup, I ordered tomato basil, and he ordered minestrone. His soup came well before mine. He finished his soup before mine even arrived. The tomato basil soup didn’t have any basil in it, it did however seem to have cottage cheese in it. Maybe it was another type of curdled cheese. I think they used the marinara sauce to make the soup. The second batch of bread was stale, like it was day old bread. Then the wait for our meals, we waited at least another 30 minutes for Eggplant parmigiana and Lasagna with mushroom sauce. Both entrees were a big disappointment. Unseasoned eggplant was placed on top of spaghetti, and covered with marinara sauce and some sort of cheese. I asked for freshly grated parmigiano reggiano. When the waiter returned, he said they did not have parmigiano reggiano, only pecorino Romano. I think they should consider changing the name of the dish to Eggplant pecorino Romano. There is a big difference between the two. I’ve been to Italy, I know what the food should taste like. The original owners may have been from Italy, but whoever is running the restaurant, has not. Or maybe they are relying on an old reputation or they just don’t care. SAVE YOUR MONEY, Olive Garden is much better than this place, and I don’t even like Olive Garden.

The pasta was amazing! Perfectly cooked al dente and brought me back to my time spent in Florence. Staff was very friendly and could not have asked for a better dining experience. Grazie!

I know this is Weslaco but is that the best they can do? Have you ever been to an Italian restaurant that does not have fresh grated parmesan? Stop by Milano in Weslaco, they don’t. I ordered lasagna with mushroom sauce. Their “mushroom sauce” was their watery marinara sauce with some sliced white mushrooms. I think they forgot to add anything, (cheese, veggies, meat) between the pasta layers of the lasagna.

A group of 6 went to Milano’s. 4 people ordered the Tour platter. At 6 o’clock they were out of lasagna which was part of the trio on the tour dish. We were told we could ADD the spaghetti for an up charge of $1.99. They didn’t adjust the bill for not having the lasagna, which I feel they should have substituted NOT added. Food was barely warm. It was a disappointing dinner and I most likely won’t be returning.
