Went to Milano as a last resort for Valentine’s dinner and boy was that a mistake. Initially, it looked nice had a nice ambiance an we were seated right away. We order some alcoholic beverages and those came right up. Otherwise the appetizers that we ordered took quite some time. We ordered their rice balls and the bruschetta. Both were mediocre, as the rice balls were a bit bland and the balsamic glaze gave the bruschetta some life because otherwise it would be forgettable. For the main entree my wife ordered their chicken parm and I ordered the Ribeye Steak with balsamic glazed carrots. Needless to say the chicken parm was subpar (more so the pasta and sauce) as the chicken tasted alright. The steak was a nice size however it was all fat ( uncooked fat at that) the steak was also not seared correctly or seasoned as it was completely bland. I also got broccoli instead of the glazed carrots that their menu offered without no explanation. Service was terrible as they would come check every 20 minutes or so and for the most part I had to seek them out especially to pay. My wife and I both got food poisoning and both got really sick. Needless to say I would not recommend this place to no one!

We were passing through Utica for 1 night and popped in here for a quick dinner before a show at the Stanley Theatre. We were sat in the bar table area which was nice and clean – the bartenders/waitresses were very friendly all evening. We ordered the 8oz filet and a 10 or 12 oz ribeye, food took about 40 minutes to come out and we never received our appetizer (which they removed from the bill at the end once notified so that’s fine). What REALLY got me was the menu prices listed our entrees as $42 and $43 – when I received my bill the steaks were listed as $54 and $55 MORE than a TEN dollar difference on each item! I took the receipt up to the bar, alerted her that our $12 appetizer never came, then I requested a menu and showed the waitress the price discrepancy between the menu & the bill – to which she very kindly let me know “the prices were raised”. Like OK!? I decided not to press it but she very clearly could tell I was upset/annoyed about it. She took the bread off the bill, we paid and on the way out a manager or owner dropped 2 drink tokens in our hands said sorry and walked away. Thanks but that’s not the point. So I guess the moral of my rant is the deception of the menu pricing is NOT OK and should be addressed immediately in house. Thanks

This restaurant is a wonderful gem. The quality of the meals was excellent, and the atmosphere was perfect, cozy, great modern chic decor, and not crowded.
The service was attentive and very pleasant. Overall, the value was top tier. We will be spreading the word of how wonderful Milano is, and we will be back!

The best Filet Mignon and Ribeye Steaks (both cooked to rare but crusty perfection, and a tasty Gorgonzola) we have ever had in our life!!! Extremely delicious and great price (I think it was $42 for an 8 ounce Filet, and $43 for a 12 ounce Ribeye). Their scallop special over risotto was tasty too! Bread was yummy- Crusty, warm, and the drizzled garlic parsley butter was a nice touch. This place is a gem. It honestly lacked for nothing… Style, elegance, immaculately clean, and superb food make this place my new favorite. I live in Rochester, which means two hours to drive but worth it. Definitely in my top 5 restaurants. Owner was a gracious host, and his team outstanding with impeccable customer service start to finish. Will definitely be back!!!

Walking in the restaurant it was very clean. We were met by the waitress who gave us the choice of where we would like to sit. Then we were given water and asked about drinks gave us the specials. We ordered a cup of French onion soup and shrimp bisque. The sizes were like bowls. Then we ordered the haddock oreganata and the haddock and shrimp francaise.
The oreganata was really well cooked with parm rossotto and spinach. Same with the franchise. The wine sauce was not over powering. For the prices the food is worth it. I don’t normally give 5 stars but this restaurant definitely deserves it.
Also the food did not need salt and pepper.

We will definitely return. This was by far one of the best meals we have had in Utica. Staff was amazing and the food was the best around. This was my first time trying this restaurant and it won’t be the last. The Ribeye Gorgonzola Steak and the seafood franchise were the best.
