This place is no secret hideout, but I am ashamed to say that this was my first visit. It is incredible and far less pricey than many inferior italian restaurants in the Austin area. The food here is impeccable. Both of the dishes that my wife and I tried were well-balanced in flavor and cooked to perfection with al dente pasta and superior presentation. The service was spectacular in every way (friendly, attentive, knowledgeable). The atmosphere was casual and comfortable yet intimate. This is a wonderful place for a date night or to dine alone. I will be back the next time I’m anywhere near the area. I had the Drunken Linguine which had just the right everything. I added Italian sausage to it for a small charge and took it to the next level. My wife ordered the Tortellini Pimientosa which more than met her Sicilian seal of approval. I talked her out of a couple of bites and concurred. Our server was an exceptional young man. I apologize for not catching his name, as I was too engulfed in the menu. I look forward to working my way through the entirety of the menu, and I urge you all to do the same. If you’re looking to have an event catered, they can take care of that for sure. Details are listed on the online menu.

Had lunch today, Saturday, with a group of friends. The atmosphere immediately took center stage. Bright colors, comfortable seating. Service was friendly and expeditious. Food was delicious with a shout out to the chef’s fettuccini carbonara, packed with pancetta and perfect al dente pasta. Everyone loved their choices. Highly recommend this casual but upscale neighborhood restaurant.

I came to Milanos cafe tonight with my family specifically because I wanted limoncello cake. When we walked in, we were immediately taken away by the art work and atmosphere of the restaurant. We started off with the bruschetta which was the perfect portion and full of flavor. For dinner I had the butternut squash ravioli and my husband had the veal Marsala. The presentation was beautiful and the flavor everything I could ask for. Even my daughter’s cheese pizza was the best kids pizza at any restaurant. Our server was great and friendly as well as the owner. I can’t wait to eat the dessert when we get home, we are definitely looking forward to our next visit!

Milano Restaurant is a true gem of Italian cuisine in the city. What immediately sets it apart is the professional and personal service, which makes you feel welcome from the very first moment. This is a family-run business where each member plays a role—whether in greeting guests or in the kitchen preparing dishes with love and dedication.
The atmosphere is warm and unique. Beyond the extraordinary taste of the food, visitors also enjoy the paintings created by the owner, Sami, which give the place a distinctive artistic character. The hospitality of his wife, Giki, is another highlight that makes this restaurant unforgettable—she is a remarkable person who turns every visit into a heartfelt, family-like experience.
From the menu, my favorite dish is macaroni alla carbonara, which I wholeheartedly recommend. Its authentic flavor and careful preparation make it a reason to return again and again.
Overall, Milano is not just a place to eat, but an experience where art, cuisine, and hospitality come together beautifully.

We tried Milano last night for the first time, and it’s truly some of the best Italian food we’ve had. I wish we had tried it sooner! The salad was the right size with the right amount of toppings, and the Drunken Linguine was so good. My husband’s pasta was spot-on, too. The service was friendly the atmosphere nice, and overall a nice eating out experience. We will definitely be going back.

Incredibly rude customer service. I am not surprised I was the only guy there in the whole restaurant! It’s was 1230 noon on a Saturday!
The guy was eating food, licking his fingers and he served me my dish without washing his hands.
After I was done eating he took the container with chili flakes on my table back – again with his dirty hands.
When I politely told him ‘in future could you please wash your hands when you serve food?’ he said don’t tell.me how to run a restaurant.
Given that I was the only guy there – he would benefit from a lesson or two on how to run a restaurant.
